This Thing Is A Lot Of FUN!
I'm getting older & so are my grandsons so I sold all my RC gear after years of loving to fly RC planes & helis. But apparently I wasn't done so I bought this just to occasionally take out & fly. I read the reviews thinking it was fair but not made that well. People talked about it being hard to fly & breaks easily. Apparently all those people have never flown an RC plane. This thing is simple to fly & made very well & is a cross between a plane & a helicopter. I even bought a couple extra batteries so I could have longer fly times. I love the switch that makes it go vertical! If you know how to fly RC & want something not expensive but a ton of fun to fly you need to get yourself one of these!

I would give it no stars if I could money wasted
Do not try flying the plane if when you rock back-and-forth the Gyro flaps don’t automatically move. After crashing the plane to pieces breaking the motor mount and glue it all back together three times. It finally broke off a piece inside I believe it was very important piece. All the servos and Rutters are stuck in a hard left position towards the end of flying it. I hope this helps someone else I found that if it’s not responding, shut the remote controller off and bind it again Then the auto stabilizers work. 30% of the time

Flies Great! Would definitely buy it again.
This little guy is fantastic. The quality of the finish was impressive. The crashability of the EPP foam and the break away prop are amazing. I am thoroughly impressed. I never bound it to the included receiver because I heard it wasn't so great. I bound it to my Radiomaster TX16S and to my Radiomaster Zorro, and both are great. Binding is easy to do using v761 protocol chn 4. I take off in stabilized mode and then immediately change to expert mode where stabilization is turned off. Even in winds up to 10mph (I haven't flown her in heavier winds yet, but I think she'd do fine), she is super stable even in expert mode. I haven't used beginner mode much because the inputs are so sluggish and she needs a LOT more space to fly. The stabilized mode is decent, but I just use it for take off to help. You can take off in expert mode, but sometimes, it can be a slight handful, but not impossible to manage. I noticed a tendency to climb dramatically with power off and dive with power on. This made slowing down for landings a little tricky because she'd pitch up with lower power and then stall and then crash. But crashes are very easily handled by this bird. The EPP foam is super-forgiving and the breakaway prop saves the prop and motor and shaft. I had to add a custom throttle-to-elevator curve to tamp down this tendency. She is a blast to fly. In fact, I ordered the Me-109 and FW-190 and Zero to keep her company. I've heard the duration/life-span of the coreless motor can be quite variable. So far, each flight is at least 10min. I found more batts on aliexpress for cheap. If you have a transmitter with MPM (multiprotocol module), I'd recommend saving some money and just buying the PNP version that includes just the plane. Coreless replacement motors can be found for about $2 each on aliexpress as well. I don't know how much surgery will be needed to replace the coreless motor though. Overall: 2 thumbs up!!

You cant control takeoff or landing
I only gave this four stars for 2 reasons. Battery life is bad and takeoff and landing controlled by a button. Maybe I missed that in notes when buying. It is easy to control for anybody.

Hard to fly with stock controls
The plane flies well but I had to use radiolink rx and gyro

Defective
Very cool product but battery compartment melted and started smoking after about 3 short flights. Very very short battery life also. Internals are ruined after just a few minutes.

Little Speedy QIDI!
Because it is a small airplane is it for beginners? I guess it depends on your level in the hobby! For me just getting started I found myself with a handful! After minor adjustments finally I'm flying with confidence growing with a few minutes of flight time, this little QIDI was a handful even in stabilized mode. You have to stay in the throttle or it stalls out, so your learning of the controls become less confident experience. Soooo go slow and take back control by slowing down my learning process and realize your not going to learn it all in one day! After numerous crashes and understanding the functionality of the aircraft I was then able to go a full battery charge of 10 minutes or more! One last thing the rudder/accelerator stick is just way to sensitive for me. Happy flying!
