I've never heated this roller, but I use it for pressure point release on sore muscles. It's an evil little thing, but it does work. It's not soft, so if you're looking for something which will give when you rest on it, I would get a soft spiky physio ball. But if you're looking for a roller to get into really tight sore muscles, it's worth it. Oh and it withstands the jaws of a springer spaniel too - she got to it before I did.

It works! I suffer from long-term back and neck problems due to a career and hobbies that involve sitting down all day; I have received Acuback today and have used it a few days - I am feeling much better now and I can feel how it works on those stubborn muscles - and this is only the first day.

Like this even better than the acu ball. This is the only thing that has been able to release my tight,, inbalanced shoulderblade muscles. I lie on it on the floor with my spine in the groove and just let it sink into the tight bits for 3 mins. I use it mainly on my upper back behind my shoulerblades up to my neck. It really helps release tight muscles either side of the spine and those a little further out which I think is why its better than the ball for me, as I already have spikey balls for my glutes. Extremely easy to travel with. Gd for neck if you place acuback on a thin hard book. This is hard, but it does release problem muscles because of that. I wont be heating this up though as to precious to loose, had acuball but it exploded in microwave, my advice is dont heat it, use a wheat bag to warm up muscles before and after instead.

Is the Acuback supposed to remain so hard,even after heating? It is impossible to use under the back when lying down except on a mattress which seems to defeat the object. It certainly makes you sit up straight but it is no replacement for the foam roll. Too uncomfortable to use on a car journey.

The Acuback really helps my posture and work on those tight shoulder muscle. However, when I opened the packaging the ring that holds the Acuback for microwave is broken - so I need to work out what I can place underneath to heat up. In addition to that - the Acuback is quite dusty - not sure where it was kept in the warehouse - I did have to wash it before use!

Pleased overall with this product which is as described. Early days but finding it quite effective, needs careful experimentation to gain maximum benefit. Would certainly recommend.

Purchased my original product on a whim near the checkout of the local Winners store. After suffering for years with lower back pain, I was desperate for anything that could possibly help. Was pleasantly surprised by this amazing product, just pop it in the microwave and the heat lasts for very long time. Was able to target my painful lower back. Being a nurse and on my feet all day, I found that Dr. Cohen has a whole line of these products, I purchased all of them. I use some more than the others and just recently discovered that on their website there’s videos linked to every part of your body that could benefit from using all these products. Both myself and my partner have enjoyed Acuball/acuback/acupads/acuball mini for years. Great products, great company and wonderful customer service!!
