Good 'once over lightly' review
A good telling of the story of Angus Young, giving all the facts without necessarily getting too far beneath the surface. Still, enjoyable read.

good solid book on AC/DC with an emphasis on Angus
Despite the premise that this is a book about Angus, it's mostly an AC/DC book. There is a tad bit more focus on Angus in some parts, mostly the beginning and the end. Since it covers many decades, many significant parts of the band's history are only touched on briefly. For fans of the band, most of this book will be review and pretty much everything seems to have been obtained from a combination of other books, previously released interviews, news items, youtube, etc. There were a few tidbits that were new to me and overall this is a well written book and a very enjoyable read.

High Voltage
I've always been fond of AC/DC and remember all the way back to when Bonn Scott died. This book informed me of things that I did not already know and gave me an insight into what it's like to be in a top rock band. The book was clearly published before Malcolm died (I'm glad to say) but does go right up until he is in a home.To me this book is well researched and the prose is good. No scandal-mongering here.I recommmend this book for people like me, casual fans who like to listen to AC/DC albums and/or watch them in concert.

Booooooooooooooooof...

Great read
Really enjoyable history of the band and the surprising truth about the mostly teetotalling Angus. Music and musicians from my generation.

Medium Voltage
I just finished Lives of Brian - which was amazing. This book on Angus is okay...but not as well edited, and personal as the Brian Johnson memoir. The author really goes to town with Australian slang; I had to look up a lot of words. It is like he had a bet going to see how many times he could use the word "Punter(s)".Glad to have read, but it is less than perfect.
