Good product, no directions included

Does not come with directions or dimensions on how to install. I'm usually good at figuring things out but this one got me. Took over 2.5 hours to install, plus bondo and paint the parts I screwed up on the closet. I also had to modify the innards because my standard door was too thin. After installed, lock is very tough to turn.

I am not sure what the other reviewers had going for them to give this item a glowing review, cause in my experience, it was just by sheer luck that the installer that I had to hire to install the door lock got it to work. He lamented that without a template, he was working in the blind and had to literally guess (and this was after he painfully had repeatedly measure and re-measure the door latch and both sides of the door) at where the two sides of the knob would meet and connect together. There is no way in h..ll could I have installed this knob and I am pretty handy when it comes to putting things together. And to top it off, even after he luckily got everything together I had to take it apart and grind down both the connecting screws and the couplers in order to get the two sides of the handle to screw in tight enough so that the door to fit in the pocket. I would have to say that this was the worst installation experience I have come across to date. Buyer beware! Do not buy this item! If you are installing this into a door that is not predrilled then you will need a template (in which they do not supply), in order to do so. And to make matters worse, you cannot find a template for this handle online either, we checked. What I can’t figure is why would the seller sell this item without one. And second of all, the seller needs to either make the screws and couplers shorter or specify how thick the door will have to be in order for the two sides of the handle will cinch up together. Other then that, I would have to say that the way this doorknob is being shipped out at present makes it a piece of cra..p

Features of the product IS NOT WORKING. Features for open and close door almost not posible because of not deep place for fingers to move door. Locking feature not working at all, so I cant closed my door for lock.My experience with it is awful.

It was not clear that it needed a metric drill set to drill the proper holes. Also the interior construction requires quite a huge opening. No cut-out provided for drilling holes. Instructions so a slightly different lock set. Did not use. Construction is heavy duty though.
