1080P BodyCam with Magnetic Lanyrad

I purchased a camera so I could feel safe while walking outside. Unfortunately, there has been more incidents of dogs off leashes and hostile owners. While I now carry pepper spray and a walking stick, I thought this might make sense to have with me should I ever be forced to defend myself against someone or a dog. Last thing I want is a his word against my word situation. While most idiots have nothing to lose, I love my job and my home. This camera is the perfect solution. No, it won't physically protect me, but it will protect me against any lawsuits that could result from me being forced to defend myself. Pros - Great picture quality, nice viewing screen, great magnetic lanyard, 180 degree tilt screen, comes with an SD card with a USB adapter, works great in my Windows 10 PC without extra software (I just use File Explorer), easy to use navigation (after you teach yourself to use it), time/date stamps, screen stays off while you are using it, small package, discrete (all black). Cons - Instructions that came with it aren't very helpful (but after playing with the camera for 20 minutes, you really get the hang of it), I don't think it is waterproof, there isn't any image stabilization so if you are running you will get a very jumpy video (I walk, and it's still pretty jumpy), wish the microphone was a bit more sensitive. Overall, I give it 5 stars. Now that I have the hang of the onboard menus, this thing is a breeze to use. I don't think the jumpy video will be a problem because if I'm interacting with someone we will likely be standing still and talking. I don't tend to walk in the rain, so I'm not worried about it being waterproof. This thing is a tiny little package with a wonderful lanyard for easy carrying, and it will literally record my entire walks without any problem. For the price, I'm amazed. I recommend it for anyone planning to use it for a similar situation as I use it. As a side note, it does get a little warm after it's been running for 20 minutes or so - no hot at all, but a little warm. It's definitely not a problem for me. Again, I honestly can't believe how great this thing is - especially for the low price. 10 years ago something like this would have probably cost $400. Thanks for reading, and I wish you well!

I bought this to be used mainly as a dashboard cam for my car. I wrapped the magnetic lanyard around the rearview mirror and snap the cam on there when I drive around. The quality of the video is good: it's 1080p, clear, but not it's not the smoothest when it's moved around on the body vs. being still on the car dashboard. Also, there is a thin white vertical line at the very edge of the left side of the video which thankfully is easily removed using my video editing software. The cam only records as chunks of 10-minute videos but when you connect them all together, it's seamless. Overall, this cam is very easy to use and connection to my Windows PC is a breeze. On a more personal note: I am so glad that I picked up this camera because I was able to capture one final footage of me walking my little love, a 14+ year old chihuahua-terrier, at a park less than a month before her passing. This video is something that I will cherish for the rest of my life, and I have this bodycam to thank for it.

I wanted a camera that I could clip to my jacket to record the instruments on the dash of my sports car. This camera included a magnetic lanyard that allowed me to place the camera on the correct spot of my jacket so it could photograph through the steering wheel spokes. The playback images were excellent as were my audio comments. I like the ability to move the camera lens 180 degrees so the LCD image being recorded could face you or your subject. It is small, lightweight and can take photos and video where phone cameras would be awkward or not possible. Nice little device for a reasonable price. I'm happy with it!

The product works fine. The only negative I’ve encountered is; microphone recording is not all clear. The sound comes out somewhat distorted and there is a type of crackling. I suppose it’s ok if you’re recording somewhere inside, but outdoor conditions make it challenging for clear sound

I was in need of a body camera for safety purposes. People around my neighborhood have been harassed while walking their dogs, and in order to have evidence for law enforcement in the event this happened to me, I started looking for a good and small body camera. I came across this purchase and I love it. Fortunately, I have not had to record any encounters with people harassing me, but I carry it with me every day and record while on my walks. The quality is pretty good for the cost and the battery life is a few hours if recording nonstop. It connects to Wi-Fi so very efficient and easy to connect to a network. The videos are high-quality - not too bad for the price! Also, it can be mounted onto anything, so perfect for using it while biking, or even while driving if you don't have a dashcam! Highly recommend it - might be a second!

This body cam looks really good. Has a lot of cool features and nice magnetic lanyard. But none of that matters if you have no power. I charged it to full capacity and then took it out for a test run. I got this because I am disabled and use a power wheelchair and because of that some people think I’m an easy target. I live in the downtown area of a large city and I got this to record when I go out so that I don’t have to fumble for my phone. I just let it record the whole time I am out so it will catch everything that happens. The problem is while I was out only an hour and a half it quit recording after about an hour because of low battery. So it does me no good.
