I am reviewing 600 1cm3 wooden cubes.I got these for my husband whose job involves a lot of maths-based puzzles and games. He has a wealth of ideas of how to use these, and I also plan on stealing a few for craft projects if I get a chance. They are fairly smooth bare wood so suitable for painting/staining or decorating any way you wish. I have only tried acrylic paint pens so far and they work well, although due to the colour of the wood the shades are slightly different to how they appear on white paper, so I recommend testing first.We received 616 cubes, and the extra few were welcome because – as is to be expected – a small number had corners or edges that had broken off during manufacture, and one appeared to be an offcut as it was smaller. We still had more than 600 perfectly useable cubes though.

Because who doesn't want 600 1x1cm cubes to play with and use for crafting?No? Just me then? :DJokes aside, the cubes are nice and uniform in size. I didn't see any misshapen in my admittedly brief visual inspection. I did spot a few that were of a darker wood, but I presume those are from knots or natural variations in the source material. They will be perfect for my intended crafting use so I'm well chuffed.
