Great for travelling
This toy keeps the little rascal entertained on long car journeys. I also find myself that it's great fun and helps boost memory performance too. Whether a child or adult this is epic. It's simple to get the gist of yet gives a good engaging and rather addictive challenge.

A simple, tactile game that can be picked up and engaged with quickly and easily
In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ It's quite an engaging game, in memory mode at least. There are a few different modes which offer a bit of variation and different levels of challenge.+ It's pretty solidly made too. The lights are colourful and engaging, and it feels like it would withstand everyday usage.+ A fun little pick up and play.Things I didn't like:- It isn't going to hold attention for very long. It's more of an "a little and often" game.- The game itself could be fairly easily replicated with a simple app. The main point of having a stand alone unit is the physical nature of the device and the ergonimics.Do I recommend it?Yes, if you want a simple, tactile game that can be picked up and engaged with quickly and easily. Interacting with a physical device is a different experience than just an app on a phone or tablet and that's what you'd be getting this for. It's not going to hold attention for too long, but it is more of a physical experience and in many ways, that is a positive, particularly if you're trying to keep your child away from a phone or tablet.

Fun game
The Learning Resources BrainBolt Boost is a great little electronic memory game that has proven to be a fun and engaging way to keep my six year old granddaughter away from her tablet. The ergonomics of this device are impressive, making it really easy to hold and play. Both the build quality and playability are good, providing plenty of entertainment. The device requires 3 AAA batteries (not included) and features a simple power on/off button and a sound mute option conveniently located on the top. With three memory boost levels—easy, medium, and hard—there's a suitable challenge for different skill levels. Interestingly, my granddaughter prefers the more challenging level. The BrainBolt Boost offers multiple modes, including Marathon (test how long you can play without making a mistake), Sound Duos (discover and match 10 different sounds randomly in each game), and Classic (each level adds a new lit tile to remember). Switching between modes is best done with the user-friendly manual, as guessing isn't very intuitive.Overall, this portable brain booster game is great for travels and has become a part of my granddaughter's playtime routine. I would recommended for anyone child looking to enhance memory skills in a fun and interactive way.

Gets repetitive quickly a missed opportunity
The media could not be loaded. I thought this would be a fun diversion on long car journeys but the games are short, somewhat easy and although cheating defeats the object of them very easy to cheat at. I hoped there would be a Simon type memory game in it somewhere but sadly no. The best is the matching pairs of sounds but as the sounds don't play at the beginning of the game you are left to randomly push the buttons until you find two that match and as there are only 10 buttons, so 5 pairs, the game finishes very quickly. Other games have you press the different coloured light after they all go out. The harder levels test reactions more than memory.I've added a video example of the game play and some of the sounds it makes whilst playing you can mute the sound if you wish, this is a bit pointless on the match sounds pairs game. I struggle to understand why a Simon type game wasn't included in this, just pushing a different coloured dot out of ten choices gets old quickly.Takes 3AAA batteries (not included), the battery cover is held shut with the screw to keep out inquisitive fingers which is good.

Clear brigh lights, sound optional - needs 3 AAA batteries
The media could not be loaded. Once I read the instructions this brain bolt is easy to use. It’s very easy to hold and the colours are nice and bright. It does need 3 AAA batteries. It takes a bit of patience on level 1 as you have to wait for the colours to go off before pressing the ‘odd colour’s space after the lights have gone off - if you press too soon or hold down the odd colour before the other lights go off it won’t register. A good patience game too.The memory game with sounds is fun.Very easy to travel with and the sound can be turned off. There is also a counter.May be good for old age too?

Well made and fun
This is very well made and works perfectly. It requires 3 AAA batteries and the batteries seem to last. It has different games and difficulty levels. My 4 year old had fun playing and does reach for it every now and then, but it doesnt keep him engaged for a very long time.

Nothing at all Like the Iconic Simon Game.
Learning Resources BrainBolt Boost Electronic Memory Game arrives in the manufacturers branded box and takes 3 AAA batteries (slim thin ones). This is a game to play as a single user and not as a team game unless each person takes their turn.Nice design with grip handles. There is 3 games in total, my favourite is the pairs sound match, you have to find the sound that matches the button you have pressed, very similar to card game pairs except this is sounds, fun it is.There is a sequence lights, where you press the light after it has turned off, theres fast and slow modes for this game.Good for eye and hand co-ordination as well as listening skills and concentration too.The only disappointment for me is that to insert or change the batteries you need to use a screwdriver but I well understand the safety precaution which is implemented.

My 5 year old likes this, he'll take it in the car sometimes to stay entertained and it can be put on silent mode which is great for parents!

Not just a game
This is not just for kids. Works good for therapy for stroke patients. Not too hard to figure out without instruction

Memory Booster
BrainBolt Boost is the new addictive follow up to my previous favorite games in the Brain Bolt franchise: Brain Bolt and Brainbolt Genius. There are three fantastic mental challenges in BB Boost: (1) a fun follow-the-light game with different speeds for different ages, (2) a fantastic sound matching game that’s unique and fresh, and (3) a reboot of the classic game from the original.BrainBolt Boost blows me away with its friendly new look, large buttons, an LCD readout and right/left hand grips. It is a wonderfully simple but can’t-put-it-down game system.Cannot wait to see what Educational Insights comes up with next for the range.

Have Fun While Boosting Your Memory
My 7 year old son received this gift and he hasn’t put it down. It is fun while boosting your memory. There are different levels of difficulty. I like that it improves your reflexes as well. The size will be perfect and easy for travel. I will definitely buy this BrainBolt Boost for future birthday gifts. I’m going to try it myself!
