Very fun read
You don’t have to be a hunter to enjoy this. Such an interesting story and a great twist. For the first book in the series it’s well written. I’m a big Jeff Koehler fan.

Interesting
Easy to follow stand-alone. Minor editing errors, no gratuitous violence or drag-you-down drama. Not all questions are answered.Compelling, informative storyline with descriptive writing that draws the reader into each scene. It has plenty of twists to keep one guessing. Flexible procedures, actions and reactions. Believable characters with distinct personalities. Thought-provoking dialogue. No desire to re-read this story. I am interested in other works in this series and by the author.

Good book
The book was pretty good and held my interest throughout the story. The ending was a surprise to me when I found out who the murderer was.

Great read
I thought this was a great story. I was down to 2 suspects and 1 of them was the killer. Good going. Flawless execution on dialogue and characters. Well worth my time to read and would love to read more from this author. Thank you.

Reads like a rough draft
The story was okay but read like a first draft. There were so many punctuation and grammar errors, they were actually distracting. The writer needs a proofreader or ARC readers. Many misused words as well, such as Sex in the City vs. Sex and the City; could care less vs. couldn’t care less; anxious vs. eager (they are not synonyms!); Cyrus’s had vs. Cyrus had; corn beef vs. corned beef; the Campbell’s visit vs. the Campbells’ visit; will lay me off vs. will lay off me; Cyrus’ realized vs. Cyrus realized; complimented vs. complemented, and so many more. I won’t be reading more books by this writer.
