Reese All White Peeled Asparagus Spears 11.6oz (Pack of 1)

I have been looking for white asparagus for awhile to make German Spargal soup.

Came opened and leaking into box. Impossible to eat.

Delicious. So much better than the green asparagus sold i US supermarkets.

The product was wonderful HOWEVER when it was delivered it was wet and dripping from the box. We ordered 10 jars but 3 glass bottles were broken. I don’t know if that was the seller’s fault or whether it was Amazon’s fault during transport. Also, this is a product that cannot be returned. So we paid for 10 but only received 7. Hopefully they will replace the 3 jars that were broken.

Since we lived in Germany for a few yrs, we fould White Asparagus at Saturday's Veggie Market! Located a recipe & bought a tall steaming pot w strainer. We loved it! During Every Spring all the Restaurants serve this..even a huge serving for 1 person! Got very used to having this or freezing some for winter dinners too! Once back stateside..we quickly realized..the WHITE SPEARS WERE VERY HARD TO FIND!!! ONCE IN A While we'd find a few bunches sold along w green! Then we tried Amazon! There were 2 COs both are good, tho they are very soft..still the taste is not as strong as the Green stalks..tho we do enjoy green also..the White is a nice change! *Best place in Germany is Heidelberg Region) Landenburg Spargel.. Asparagus is Super! There is actually a SPARGEL MUSEUM, to Visit!

Love that these are peeled, cooked, and in a glass jar and not a can! One jar is 30 calories! White asparagus, a staple of Europe, is tender and more mild than its green counterpart. Hope Amazon Whole Foods always carries this product!
