Questions are great. However, my reason for buying this book was to have extra questions for paper 1 along with the year 2 book (which needs more questions). Unfortunately the questions in this book are the exact same as the ones in the year 1 section of the year 2 workbook. So I've now just got 2 sets of the same questions for year 1.I was hoping there would be different yr1 questions in the two books :(

This book doesn't contain any information regarding the course content, but instead contains roughly 80 pages of exam questions. I would particularly recommend purchasing the revision guide (also by CPG) that works nicely alongside this book, as it contains similar headings and would incredibly helpful if you are struggling on a particular question.The format of the book itself is similar to an exam question apart from the topics aren't mixed. Each question contains the amount of marks each question is worth, making it helpful to track how strong your knowledge is and where your weaknesses are. The exam tips at the bottom help to strength exam technique further, helping you get ready for the final exam. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

Practice is such an important part of exam preparation to enhance the learning experience and help students to achieve their best mark. I only wish this resource had been around when I studied A-Levels, but these exam practice workbooks are a recent innovation.The book contains over 70 pages of questions on single topics - particles; electromagnetic radiation and quantum phenomena; waves; mechanics; materials; and electricity. Each question shows how many marks it is worth, and there is space to write your answer. There are also 6 pages of mixed questions. At the back, there are 21 pages of answers with explanations. There's also a page of exam tips and two pages of physics data and formulae.However, there is no sample exam paper, and the questions test your knowledge of the course material rather than replicating exam questions. They are not as hard as real exam questions. Also, unlike other CGP books, this one is monochrome and laid out in a very dull manner; however, this does reflect the exams.For sale at the time of writing this review at £5.99.

A very useful revision aid for the AQA A Level Physics (year 1 and A/S) syllabus; the exam questions ( which make up the bulk of the book) are divided into 7 sections (particles, quantum mechanics, waves, mechanics, materials, electricity & mixed questions). The book includes fully worked answers for everything, so that you can see not only whether your answer was correct, but how to arrive at the correct one. There is also a copy of the data booklet you'd be given in the exam.

This is a review of a paper backed A4 sized Exam Practice Book A Level year 1 and 2 Physics. As an Exam Practice Book this set of questions needs to be used alongside the students class notes and probably a suitable Physics text book.Like all CGP publications this is an outstanding book. Packed with example A Level Physics questions, with the all important answers and two example test papers. Which I pleased to say really do look and feel like the real thing. There is also a great online site with more questions and help. This book is for the AQA Board exam. Please check the student is working towards that exam as all the boards are a little different. I have personally always struggled with Physics but have found these questions to really help my understanding. Thank you.
