Delicious for Any Meal of the Day!
Super delicious (like ALL of Cole’s products!). I’m addicted to the Salmon and Quinoa - as well as Cole’s Smoked Trout and other tinned salmon. While it does seem pricey, the portion size does make a meal. Served with a simple soup, a warm tortilla, salad, or bread, your meal is quick, satisfying, healthy, and easy peasy. Very delicious - I’m buying more today!

Very tasty!
Man, oh man these are tasty! When they arrived, that night, we opened one up and ate it right up! It was so good! I served it with a bit of salad, toast, and some veggies on the side. The two of us split a can - and with the extras as mentioned - it was very sufficient as a meal. I got online today to go ahead and order some more. One can is big enough for two folks, well, if they're not big eaters. A moderate sized appetite. Some guys I know might want one can for themselves! Also, some gals I know, too. But for a nice, tasty, quick and easy supper, these are hard to beat!

A bit too expensive for me
I think these taste great, and they are very convenient, but they seem a little overpriced for the size. The 24 pack cost/meal seems almost reasonable per meal, but it does not include free shipping

Delicious user friendly tinned meal!
Very surprised, portions are small but at least you get a nice meal in an emergency or even traveling camping etc. Was pleasantly surprised at the flavor & size of the piece of fish. They are lightly seasoned working well with my DNA based diet. However, we all know fish doesn't last & I would suggest you supplement with some veggies or a starch if you need it. Bought on a whim for food storage ended up without electricity for over 24 hrs day it arrived. Was able to heat on a sterno stove as they are packaged in metal! Then I decided to see well does it work in the microwave? Yes! No instructions on heating so I put it in at 6th power level and hit it for 3 minutes. Every microwave varies so practice with yours. Using it on the little portable camping stove was awesome. A lot of the pre-made foods come in plastic so you have to then transfer it to a pan. In an emergency it's not an easy thing to do. As I live in California and the electric company is now doing rolling blackouts to prevent fires you never know when you will be left without electricity for days even. This just happened to my county. They hit us with a blackout 24 hours before a major storm rolled in. Where I live it snows in SoCal. Down below it can be 70°. So must always be prepared. My cats wanted to eat my dinner for me & my dog was looking at me like I was the meanest mom in the world for not sharing.

It's canned fish with a colorful label
Ok, it's obviously overpriced but I'm always hoping for something good for camping. First one must understand, there's only so much you can do with canned fish. Ever had a tin of smoked salmon or mackerel? Now throw in some vegies or rice & you have the same thing here. The process involves whatever you add to the hotmix in the canning process must end up tasting like canned fish. It's inevitable. Is it a bad taste? No. Is it better than dollar store canned fish? Slightly, due mainly to the different textures, but it's still canned fish. It does have less sodium/salt than most similar products which was another reason I tried it. I might buy it again sometime for a mountain trip.

Product needs to be recalled
I read quite a few of the reviews before making this purchase and decided to take a chance since food items like fish from unknown venders can be a gamble. Several reviewers were not keen on the products but those were showing personal preferences, and that was natural, so I dismissed those. One person stated it made him sick, but since he didn't give any supporting details, I passed that review off as being useless. I ordered the variety pack and this is my experience. I have never had Trout before in my life, and remembering one reviewer stating it tasted just like Trout he was familiar with, so I opened the Trout can with the veggies. The smell was good, and I started eating it. It was very pleasant tasting, and I was enjoying it and definitely considering ordering it again. Here is where it went south very fast! I was just finishing the can when I felt my Stomach suddenly bloating and just locking up! Gas pressure was building up fast and strong with my wanting to throw up but my bodies defense mechanisms had already shut the door to my esophagus so that was made impossible. It was a terrifying ordeal but fortunately I had experienced this same scenario before after eating a bad hard-boiled-egg out of hundreds eaten regularly with no incident, so I knew what to expect overall and that it would all end ok. Slowly the esophagus door opened a bit to let out the pressure through continuously belching a foamy sticky stomach-contents substance. The whole experience only lasted about 15 minutes but seemed like hours. I went back into reading more user reviews and discovered a few stating they didn't know it was a farmed fish product until they read the label, or they would not have ordered it. My sentiments exactly! Every article I have ever read over the years about farmed fish products warned to stay away from them. They are raised in a totally unnatural unhealthy environment pumped full of antibiotics and fed crap to fatten them up for market. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing any more of these products.

So good and good for you to take on the road
These are so good that I have them on subscribe. Even the kids love them. I travel quite often, and they’re easy to pack in the briefcase, yet they’re not as stinky as tuna. Make sure you toss the container somewhere that won’t disturb others as it might smell later.
