Do you need to seal the cork when laid if so with what ?

When ballasting and using pva glue diluted with water this seals the cork.

does anybody know can you still get the sponge type ballast underlay where the track sinks in 00 gauge at 74 just started moddeling again thank you m

Hornby still do the rolls of underlay, its is r638 at £16 approx for 4.8 mtrs. Can be expensive if you have a lot of track and you will require points underlay by Hornby. I used the cork from Amazon to lay track, pinned and glue, takes time but when retired no issue. Then I ballast the track and looks ok.

Can this also be used for the curved sections of the track?

Yes, just cut down the middle of the of the cork and this allows you to curve the cork to meet your requirements.

Could this be stuck to the wall and used as a pin board ?

hello - no this is not suitable for that however we do keep sundeala in stock which is pin board ans also cork in several thicknesses and sheet size, please advise what it is you want to do? kind regards David
