Attracts a lot of different birds
Great Mix. I got pretty much every common midwestern bird at my feeder over the past year and they keep coming back. The only thing I’m not as big a fan of is some of the seed does tend to grow if it hits the ground below it. Not because it is growing, just because when I mow over it it makes a mess against that side of my house. Otherwise it is great and honestly I’ll keep buying it because the birds love it.

It’s a great value for your money you get a lot of bird food. There’s no bad smell and is the perfect size for birds. I think it taste better than a lot of other birdseed because I’ve never had this many birds come to my feeder before! It’s a nice thick bag of birdseed and it didn’t come damaged and the bag is perfectly intact and is doing its function by holding the food. I generally don’t know how people got popped open bags, but I highly recommend it. Amazing birdseed 😀

This seed attracts a lot of birds! INCLUDING WOODPECKERS!
Mourning doves love this food. It attracts A LOT of them just fyi, I have like 10 fighting over one feeder now when I usually only have 2-3 waiting their turn amongst smaller birds. It’s kind of ridiculous. Little birds like sparrows, titmice and painted buntings seem to not like this food (or they’re just being bullied by the doves). I also only have to fill the feeder once every two days vs some other food that needs to be filled every day because it’s so popular with everyone, so it’s clear that this food isn’t as universally liked by the birds in my area. That’s the BAD part about this food. The good part? Cardinals and Blue Jays really love this food. But you know who else loves it?? Red Bellied Woodpeckers. I couldn’t believe it when I saw one eating from the feeder. I have a photo and video for proof! This is a first for me so I will definitely be adding this seed into the rotation so that the woodpeckers can also enjoy food. Seeing that made my entire week! This food will definitely be in my rotation!!

Bad winter, critters like this alot.
With 0⁰ and sub-zero weather the birds and other critters appreciate the lending hand. A good mix for them along with crushed walnuts & whole unsalted shelled peanuts. Help them survive this nasty winter and purchase some to share...and I like whole walnuts too. 🙃

Best price per ounce I've found anywhere.
Better price per ounce than retail stores around me. Bag is inside a sturdy box made to fit so I buy three at a time and stack until used. I have used Kaytee Midwest blend for at least three years and the birds prefer it over other seed mixes. It attracts juncoes, various colorful finches, and doves. Even the nuthatches and cardinals will leave the safflower and peanut feeders to grab a few Midwest mix seeds.
