This is a cute shelf toy! This is not a play tor because the water will be a big mess but it really is so cute and the lights are a perfect dimm for a night light! The little Axolotl is a good nice thick silicone material & water proof so it could be played with in bath too! It just floats in its little "tank" it really does nothing other than bob up and down. its really a young child's "first pet" you can not kill LOL The "tank" is the size of a regular goldfish bowl. a pretty good size maybe like 5/6 cups of water.. please dont quote me on the water amount .. Not cheap whatsoever just not meant for older girls/boys I guess IMO

I purchased this as birthday gift for my 5 year old nephew and he LOVES it. Instant hit. It will make a great bath toy when he wants to play with water. He said the axolotl is “SO CUTE” and he loves that it glows. Considering the size of the toy I found the price very reasonable. You can also buy different color axolotls to use with it. Highly recommend!

This toy is cute but all it does is sit in the water, my 5 year old loves it but it just sits there ready to spill all over the floor.

Got this as a Christmas gift for a 6 year old girl. She said out of all her gifts this was her favorite. The water part is fun and interactive with the axolotl actually lighting up rainbow colors and the bubbler aspect. Out of the water the toy functions basically as a squishy and is a nice tactile experience with beads inside squishy rubbery material for the bottom half of the axolotl. She carried it around the rest of the day. The bubble tank is a decent size and the axolotl is just the right size for kids to tote around. There’s a sensor in the top of the axolotl that can detect when it’s submerged in water and only then will it light up, so it’s not glowing all of the time. Works as expected and it’s a great gift!
