So after I had been recommended this product by a good friend who was struggling with hair loss, I decided to give it a shot.It was nice having the business owner answer my questions. It shows they really care about and explain whether or not this product works for big, curly, thick hair like mine. It made me feel as though the business owner cares about the customers' concerns.I was told to try it for about a week. However, personally speaking, aside from a couple of things that show results on my body within a week, most things tend to take quite some time for me to see actual results. So I used the product for close to a month to really get a feel for it.Third, the product worked ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Lol I will certainly be purchasing next months supply!The noticeable results showed my hair getting fuller. My curls were somehow more defined and chunky. I have two slightly bald spots at either side of the top of my forehead and so far this product has been making those patches grow thicker.The consistency of the shampoo is a big deal to me because I have a lot of hair and with such watery liquids, it doesn’t thoroughly wash my hair. And extremely thick liquids are too heavy on my hair. This is the perfect balance!I do wish there was more product that came for the price, but I'm not complaining. :)

I've been using this for about a week. I have unexplained thinning. Especially in the front part of my hair. I have literally tried EVERYTHING!!!!! I'm writing this review and I will be following it up with another one after one month. So far I like the way this product lathersn. And I have been following the directions and leaving it sit for about 2-3 min. I also have the conditioner. So I leave that sit as well. I will say it does volumize the hair without drying it out. It's the first of many products I have tried that does this. I have naturally curly hair. So my hair dries out easily. So I will say it does give an instant result of making your hair look full as well as healthy. I am still losing a lot of hair with each wash. Im hoping that eventually that will slow down. But so far so good!

***UPDATE: So like all good things, they seem to have to go and change it. The new formulation arrived with my most recent order and my 3rd order (April 2019). It came in a pump, it was much more "watered down". It no longer worked as it did before, it weighed my hair down, made it look greasy, and overall very unhappy with a product I was over the moon about. In the Q&A, I wasn't the only one concerned and they mentioned there will be a choice at some point to choose the original formulation. However, I was not given the choice at the time of purchase and considering the price I feel bamboozled. I tried it for over a month, hopeful - and have since changed to another shampoo/conditioner! Suave rosemary and mint! It will work for now until I find a new product.I have been using this shampoo since the end of June 2018. I have always had fine hair, but as I get older I felt there was more hair in my brush, shower drain, or floor than on my head. Since I have been using this shampoo I do see a drastic decrease in the amount of "fall-out", I do not feel that I have more hair, or thicker hair, but I do not have hair falling out all day. Previous to using this every time I even touched my hair I would have strands fall out, to the point I felt I could not touch my hair! I saw a decrease in fall-out within the first week of using this shampoo. I have used many natural, organic, etc and this is the first shampoo that I have had any results with. It smells clean, you only need a dime sized amount. Its almost 4 months of use and I am only just getting ready to order a second bottle. I have the conditioner as well, but did not see any additional benefits so I am just going to stick with the shampoo.

I am trying both the Roots shampoo and conditioner together because I want the one-two punch in my attempt to have stronger, fuller hair and less hair loss (an issue as I age). I have always had what stylists nicely call "fine" hair but I have always called it thin. I would love a thick mane and though I have no expectation for this new shampoo to change my hair structure into a "mane," I am hopeful that it will increase my volume and keep what hair I do have. I have used both the shampoo and conditioner for just a week so can't really say it's made a big difference in my hair volume but I feel much more confident in it than any other "volumizing" shampoo I have used because of its ingredients and the science behind the product. The box it comes in tells you all about the ingredients and what they do and I really enjoyed reading the box after I took out the shampoo. It isn't inexpensive but it is obviously much higher quality from the brands I have used to this point. I really like how my hair feels and it already does seen to lay a bit better - more volume - but I did just get a new hair cut so that is a factor as well. I am pleased I made the investment I did in this new shampoo (and conditioner). My husband is using it as well and really likes it. He asked me where I got it as he had never heard of it or seen it before. Though early in my use of this shampoo, I do recommend you try it. Finally found a 5 star shampoo & conditioner that not only made my hair look thicker, it actually stimulated new hair growth. I loved the presentation of the bottle with the wooden cap! Admittedly, it took some effort to get the thick product out of the bottle, but the luxurious feel in my hair was worth the work. Reordered only to find out that a pump top replaced the wood cap and the product was thin. It took 3 times the product to lather up. In 2 weeks my hair no longer looks or feels thicker and the new hair growth is gone. Soooo disappointed. Actual picture of the old shampoo and new.
