The Urban Armour Gear MagSafe phone stand delivers an exceptionally premium experience. For its purpose, it’s absolutely one of the best stands available. The only downside is the high price, though that might be justified as it’s likely imported and not manufactured in India. I was confused which grip to buy from various other cheaper options. I’m glad I picked this up. It is on the expensive side and I’m worried about a few things which I will list out. Pros: 1. Matches the color of the UAG case perfectly 2. I was skeptical of the hexagonal shape of the ring, but it seems quite comfortable. Of course circular ones will be comparatively better for sure but this isn’t bad at all. 3. There is a rubber padding between the case and this grip. Really hoping it does not scratch the expensive UAG case, because no one would remove the ring and reattach for a perfect angle, you just tend to rotate it arbitrarily while you hold the phone, hence I hope this does not scratch the case over time. 4. Standing it in Portrait and Landscape orientation works well, depending on how long the hinges will stay tight. I have seen reviews here which say the ring loosens up over time and no way to tighten it by ourselves. 5. The magnet is quite strong, did try to swivel my phone a few times to test it as well as flicked the phone a few times and the magnet still works. But do not push your luck :D Cons: 1. Color coating of this ring may wear off over time as seen in some other video streaming platform reviews. 2. I wish UAG gives a way to manually tighten these hinges when they get loose in their next designs. It would be a waste of time to give it for return/refund/repair. I’d rather just spend 2 minutes and tighten it myself if there was a way. This would also increase the lifespan of the product. 3. I wish it came at least with a pouch for the price this product is being sold for. There is absolutely nothing else in the packaging. 4. I hope future design incorporates a mechanism where the base stays in one place and only the ring rotates like many other cheaper brands. Product care: I would rather peel it off vertically to remove it from the magsafe grip. Sliding the grip laterally might scratch the case. I just hope the tightness of the hinges stay true for at least 2-2.5 years. The warranty of this product is probably one year which is not enough for such an overpriced ring.
