Lance the electrician did a fantastic job!
I purchased the EcoFlow (EF) Smart Home Panel (SHP-2) and the EF 12kWh Power Station; DELTA Pro Ultra with extra battery in July 2025. The four shipping boxes arrived in good condition with a few scrapes and dings. When removed from the packing all the equipment was in perfect condition. The excellent packing was moulded to exactly fit each item. The equipment is heavy so you should plan on getting help to move it. Each battery weighs 110lbs. Since my system was to be set up in the basement I decided to keep the equipment in the box until we had moved it down the flight of stairs; Just in case we dropped it. All went well thanks to my Electrician Lance. At the time I ordered I did not realize that there is an option to get "room" delivery for a nominal extra fee. It's much cheaper than a hernia. When I contacted my local electrician to get an estimate for installation he said he was not familiar with the EcoFlow system. He suggested installing a gas powered standby generator instead. He estimated a cost of $15k-$25K. So I followed the advice from the EcoFlow sales person to use their recommended Electrician rather than paying someone to learn on the job. My home was built 65 years ago and the electrical equipment was modified too many times to count. A photo of the existing panel with the cover removed is shown. It was an absolute mess and I had been dreading the thought getting someone to tackle the job of fixing it. Many of the breakers were not labeled, some of the breakers were not connected to any circuit, and the entire system was not properly grounded. This is where my excellent electrician Lance from EcoFlow support came to the rescue. He had performed many Ecoflow installations and knew exactly what he was doing. When he opened the panel he told me don't worry, he had seen worse. He started work at 9am and worked straight through the night until 8am the next day. He went home for some sleep and returned the next day. He installed an 8 foot long copper grounding rod into the ground and connected the code required 6 gauge copper wire to the breaker panel and two locations on the house water supply pipe. The ground is required for lightening protection. Lance mounted of the new SHP panel on the basement wall near the old panel. He had preprepared the needed mounting board and attached the SHP panel to it. He then transferred the circuits selected for backup power from the old panel to the SHP. The wiring was routed through the two horizontal grey conduits. New circuit breakers were installed in the SHP. See Photo. The final steps went quickly. We stacked the two batteries and inverter on top of the (provided) wheeled base. They fit perfectly. We installed the cables which connected the batteries and inverter to the SHP. After that I uploaded the ECOFLOW app to my iPhone and stepped through the setup procedure. Everything worked fine thanks to Lance. Selecting the circuits for the Ecoflow was straightforward . I live on Long Island in New York in a Village that has its own emergency electrical generators in addition to the normal Northeast Grid power. I don't live in a flood zone and the occasional outage normally lasts a few hours. So I decided the 12kWh batteries; would be sufficient for my needs. I decided to power the refrigerator, the gas furnace and hot water heater, cable, tv, at least on overhead light and outlet in each room, the microwave, toaster, and most importantly the central AC. I skipped the washer dryer, range/stove, garage outlets. If I decide I need more power in the future I can add up to three more batteries to the stack by simply plugging them into the inverter.

Whole House Backup Made Easy
The whole-house battery back-up system from Ecoflow was a great investment, especially with the 30% tax credit. I run the Smart Home Panel 2 in Emergency Power (EPS) mode, which provides an instantaneous fail-over for 12 of my circuits. Whenever we lose power, which can happen for short periods in FL, my important circuits never go down. I no longer need the small UPS in these rooms. I don't have solar or a generator (but could) - my main purpose for this system is peace of mind and hurricane season in FL. This replaced my original 100A subpanel, and installation took a full day. Not all the circuits to be backed up were on the original subpanel, so the electrician had to run wires between the sub and main to move the low priority circuits over to the main and the high priority ones to the smart panel. I used an electrician who had installed one previously - they charged $1900 and did a great job. There were other higher quotes. But their job stopped at installation; I had to use the app to update firmware and start up the system. It wasn't too difficult. The app is impressive and works well. It provides good visibility into power consumption and status on each circuit, on/off functions, and other programmatic controls. My only disappointment is that I cannot run it in EPS mode and also schedule fail-over tasks; the app indicates these functions are not compatible. Design suggestion: make the scheduled tasks able to turn off the EPS mode to conduct the fail-over and then turn it back on when it returns to main power. So far I've only had a few short power outages without any issue. No major outages yet, but I'm happy not to have to fuss with a generator when it does. If you hate generators (like me) and all that goes with them, you’ll love this solution.

Power failed then the device failed, then support refused to help... No warranty through amazon
As hurricane Milton approached I felt safe because I had the SHP2 and a DPU. The SHP2 worked, for a couple hours after losing power. The SHP2 automatically switched over to the DPU and the critical loads remained powered on, but then the SHP2 suffered an error with Relay 1, even though relay 1 was not a critical circuit this stopped the flow of power from the DPU to the one critical circuit #4. Support said the unit was faulty and that there was no work around for this. so even though my battery had power I was again out of power. Ecoflow support said the only fix was to have an electrician replace the unit. worst yet, once power was restored to my neighborhood, the circuits on the SHP2 were still without power. thats right, the device that was meant to prevent power outages was itself prolonging the power outage after hurricane Milton. To make matters worse Ecoflow said they would NOT replace the SHP2 because I purchased it from amazon and amazon is NOT a certified retailer. They did specifically call out that the ecoflow stores on amazon are certified retailers but amazon itself was not. so now I need to have an electrician replace the panel in order for me to have power again.

Ability to capture control and dispense my energy wherever I need it to go.
I started off with the Delta 2 and realize the capturing energy was pretty amusing. So I tried the Hole 🏡 home system and it has met my expectations and then some the ability to switch from the grid to the battery, it's flawless. I know it says that one500 square feet requires more battery capacity, but being that I don't have more batteries nor solar panels. I'll just use it in combination with electric solar, and it's been working i really haven't thought about the backup capacity, because I've been using it to lower my electric bill. And it has been working i got about 5 hours to 6 hours of sunlight. So I have the time to charge the unit. I just have to get more solar panels. So if you're thinking about getting one of these units, don't think no more, just get 1. But just make sure you do your homework about installation.ecoflow does have an in installation package? But be sure again to do your homework when it comes to the insulation.

Incredible couldn’t be happier with this system!
Works incredibly well! Switches over to battery with minimal flickering of a light! Wonderful customer service! Live in Florida and was in the path of the last two hurricanes back to back! We lost power several times! This was incredible ! Told several people we know this is the system to get! What I like the best is that we can grow our system to our needs! Extremely versatile! We can save money during peak hours or get completely off the grid! Will add to it in the future! Company keeps me informed of special sales and upgrades and easy to contact for questions! I don’t understand why everyone owns one! Started looking at this system for portable use when we were traveling in our rv for two years as a extra source of electricity and came upon this system for our house .just added this system to our home and couldn’t be happier! What I love about this company is that you have alternatives for every life styles!

Well built and easy to install
I am giving this 5 stars for the quality of the product and the ease of installation. It is very heavy and very well built. It was easy to commission the unit once installed. The application is first rate. I was prompted to update firmware and it updated without issue via the app. I have only had this installed for a week, so I won't get into reliability yet but will come back and add photos and information once it is available.

only if you are in to early adopter stuff
The unit works most of the time. The issue is that my old dumb panel works all the time. I have had several relay L1 failures and several trouble tickets. I can reset the unit, but if I am not at home it my mother-in-law will be without power in her room, plus my refrigerator will be out. The unit needs to be replaced. I may have a very early unit last 4 of the serial number is 0018, so make of that what you will

Ecoflow support urgency is inflexible.
[Update] 3 days later, and finally, the first email from the next tier of support. And we get to start over with their email support. Apparently, 1st line of support is phone, and everything after that is email. Great. Also, in desperation, the electrician working on this tried connecting to the internet (this is a to-the-studs remodel, so expecting internet connectivity for out-of-the-box functionality is unreasonable); however, after connecting and having the panel update, at least I have power to the breakers. It's still broken and returning codes, but at least I don't have to spend another 8 hours of an electrician's time ripping it out right now. Functionality of a breaker box is core to your home. It's core to my remodel. It not working out of the box is a big issue. At this point, if the panel wasn't already wired into the house, I'd return it and the batteries. But at this point, I'm committed. However, this failure and Ecoflows support do not inspire confidence. [Original] This is not a full review. I will update this with my full experience when the saga completes. I'm having a house remodeled. Much of the house had to be taken to studs because it was destroyed by renters. But since I'm moving into it, I decided to peak shave, so I bought an EcoFlow system to do that. That includes this panel. Part of the remodel is significantly rewiring the house. I have an electrician there pulling wires for more than a week. That last thing to do was to move most of the existing wiring to this new subpanel. That has not gone well. The panel arrived DOA. You find that out when an electrician has spent several hours pulling wires to it, wiring it, and then is ready to power it on. It refused to power on the house with an 185 error code. The Ecoflow support folks are pleasant and determined to know what parts need replacement. However, they're urgency isn't a high as having flooring and sheetrock folks scheduled with no heat or lights. They promise 48 hours call return from the escalation team and maybe get the part out in a couple of days. That's fine if a part isn't essential - but that's not this case. I'm sure we will work this out... in time. But right now I have 1 option. Have the electrician spend another 4 hours pulling wires from this panel to the old one if I want to continue having required progress, and then do the same to put it back when I get the replacement part. I've already spent more money than the panel costs in electrician time, troubleshooting, and now undoing the wiring because EcoFlow support is slow. Again, this isn't a dig at the product. Things go wrong; I get that. But if you are down and without power, relying on this panel and they can't resolve it in a day or two, that seems problematic to me.

Very good panel!
Would like more option in the application, specifically more way to connect with 3rd party app. Especially home assistant. Also, would be nice to have a way to only use the connected batteries as a UPS mode only instead of 50% backup battery mode. Otherwise good quality and instructions!

Game changer adding panel to system
What a game changer. No more extension cords Hurray. Took 2 Electricians little over half day to install. Haven't had it test in real time (give me a month grrr avg one or two power outages a month here). Use to run a freezer, fridge, sump pump, and garage door as principle reason for the setup. Now have power to plugs around the house (lights mostly), microwave (same plug for kettle and grill). Now for the important stuff, haha. My war room 3 computers, 5 screens, two tablets 3 cells an echo 15 and echo 8, NAS, OTA, 56" tv with media center setup. They all are safe now, theory can run all over a day, selective (turn off non essential) as in last 16hr outage using extention cords showed over 5 days backup. Was very bare minium thought. I cook with alcohol, heat emergency room (War room) with a diesel heater (20 gals red farm fuel 7 days) bondocking in luxury. Connected to Ecoflow DELTA pro ultra with two batteries (more to come wink) for a total of 12kWh of power now. Will have solar charging (have to setup) and a propane generator. Of course more batteries. Yes $$$$ but we'll worth it Thank you Ecoflow for excellent products, quick delivery, answered my questions quickly person to person. Highly recommend Echoflow
