Uniflo-4 Macerator 22mm FREE 300g UNICLEANSE crystals.

I bought this to replace a Saniflo which had given 12 years of fantastic service. When I tried to replace the unit like for like firstly the model and size I had had gone out of production so I was forced to look around. I checked out this and many other makes and models and was quite impressed with the range offered by Uniflo. The decider was the price, this model was far less expensive than the Saniflo equivalent. I then checked out the ratings for this model online. There was lots of "You get what you pay for" entries, some good and some not so good. On balance I decided to take a chance on this model, I found it easy to fit and it has been working perfectly for about a month now.The macerator itself is quite stylish (as macerators go!) and should not look out of place in any style of bathroom, it is not noisy but not quiet. It doesn't disturb the neighbours as the old Saniflo did. but that was a very old model which Saniflo have improved since I understand! It seems to work well and I have no complaints about the Uniflo macerator and will have to see if it's life will be anywhere as long as the one it replaced. but that is one for the future.Finally there was only one gripe and this stopped me giving 5 stars. That is the instructions, they are nowhere near good enough for the amateur DIY'er,. The company will know that when you sell a cheaper version, you are quite likely to attract people who are going to have a bash at fitting themselves, perhaps not having the funds to employ a professional, The instructions ought to take this into account.I am pleased with this item and would (based upon a months limited use) recommend it.

Was concerned that this was too good of a bargain when I bought it (must be a catch thought I) but all in all it seems like I've got a great bit of kit! It was easy to fit electrically and plumbing wise (my first macerator fit), takes up very little room and is surprisingly quiet. I fitted it with WC, sink and shower and with it pumping out upwards 2.5m and approximately 7m horizontally with one 90 degree turn (two 45's) half way along before dropping the 2m down into the soil pipe from the main bathroom toilet (through a slightly bonkers combination of 45 degree junctions due to the route it had to take)! I used 32mm pipe throughout and kept to the minimum 1:100 gradient as recommended through the long lengths and its working beautifully.Due to where I was building the en suite (in the bedroom of an Edwardian house) I've actually housed the macerator in the original alcove cupboard with the concealed cistern toilet backing onto the now fixed cupboard door, so it's completely out of sight. This means that its slightly roundy and off white finish is no problem to me - if you are fitting it exposed then its probably not going to be that complementary to some super sleek pure white bathroom. On the other hand it's no more or less attractive than a soil pipe - just different.

I really wanted to give this 5 stars but I just can’t justify more than 1.I bought this product just over a year ago for a new downstairs loo. Unfortunately another project got in the way and I only got round to fitting it a couple of weeks ago. I’d hardly used it when in the middle of the night, all my electrics went out and after fumbling around at 3am I eventually found this thing was the cause. The company told me the guarantee was only one year from the date of purchase and that the pressure chamber might have flooded - with no voiding of guarantee to worry about, I took it apart to find that it had and that’s it’s impossible to fix, so that unit went in the bin.But not before I bought another one from another seller at half the price and with a two year guarantee (which is probably worthless but I can hardly do any worse can I?) Would you believe it, the two units side by side are identical, even the CE stickers are the same.Let’s see how long this one lasts..

Great service from Uniflo who helped when I had a problem and sent me an extra part FOC. The macerator works well although I must admit I dont like all the jubilee clips and rubber connections on show.

This item is a great purchase. Way cheaper than its rivals and does the same job. I would not waste money (almost double) on a saniflo and my plumber couldn't agree more. He also asked where I bought it from as I suspect he will be supplying fitting them in the future! Delivery was prompt. This has been installed for an ensuite and the power is projecting the waste side wards and then a natural flow downwards. Therefore, less work for it. I can not vouch for the vertical capabilities. You can here the pump pushing the waste out, but 3 smalls 'whooshes' and then it's gone! Buying this product...you can't go wrong

We purchased the Uniflo Macerator to replace an existing Sanilflo having never fitted one before it was easy and the pipework required little alteration from the previous unit. It took about an hour to change, the client was happy and on top of that the cost was nearly half of the Saniflo unit. Time will tell if it last as long but I have no reason to believe it won't. Delivery wwas promt and all the items were supplied to install. I would definitely recommend these in future.

Used this as a replacement from my Saniflo. Very easy to fit simple connections if you are just replacing similar unit. Much quieter than saniflo. Fraction of cost of a Saniflo so great value. Only downside is you cannot use bleach as this damages rubbers but assume this will apply to all of them. I just use disinfectant and their recommended descaler.Update 2019. In 6years now still going well. When shaver top got stuck in it was very easy and quick to clear (though not a pleasant job) so great value.

Great product, direct replacement for last one that lasted around 10 years. Easy instructions and easy swap out.
