I love these!
These arrived on time with my prime shipping. I've only had these a few days so far. Maybe I'll update in a year or so. Onto the review:These are beautiful! I see no imperfections, they look just like the picture and I absolutely love them. What surprised me the most is I expected them to be a little on the heavy side, being made of layered wood and all, but they are super light weight.I haven't tested the floating claim yet. (EDIT: I tested this! They float! I tried setting them in the water and dropping them from a decent height and they floated both times.)The polarization is good and they block a good amount of light. I live in Florida and it's stupid bright here so a tad darker would be preferred, but it's a minor qualm. They are very wide for my face. That's my biggest complaint. If you have a small face, be cautious. Also, I don't remember reading that these have spring hinges, but they do. It makes finding the perfect twist for my face super easy. All in all, I would recommend.

Super Cool!! Beware humans with large skulls.
They look great!!! All very nice. I only have two gripes, hence the four star rating... When not protecting my eyes, I like to keep my sunglasses perched atop my head. These glasses do not stay put. The hinges they used allow the "arms" of the sunglasses to extend a bit out past 90 degrees. I assume this is to allow fellows with large skulls, such as mine, to comfortably wear these glasses. However, this means that when I lift them off my eyes and place them on my head, the arms don't squeeze my head enough to hold the glasses in place. If I even think about leaning forward, off they go.Second gripe regards the lenses. I don't know why, but when I am wearing these glasses the insides of the lenses are distractedly visible. There is glare on the inside of the lenses. Not as big an issue for me though once I got used to it.

Look Great, Poor Quality
These sunglasses look great and the fact that they float is a huge advantage to most other sunglasses. However, they broke and warped with less than 2 months of light wear over the summer. I could have dealt with the crack in the frame as it was on the inside, but the fact that they warped makes them sit crooked on my face and so are unwearable. I have included two pictures, one is of the crack and the other is an attempt to show the warp. When the sunglasses are placed on a flat surface, one earpiece sits flat while the other I'm able to slip a AA battery under.

Questioning the durability claim
These glasses are beautiful! I gifted them to my husband and he was thrilled after eyeing them for so long. Upon opening them, he shared them with a fried to take a look. The friend dropped them, while seated in a chair so not that far of a drop...and in ONE drop one of the sides broke. Seems questionable if these are real maple wood (or bamboo) - from the description and some of the questions I'm now not actually sure what they are made of. And considering they snapped with one bump I wonder if wood at all, no? I'd love some input from the seller and hope to be able to return for a new pair, have a replacement piece shipped out to us or receive a refund entirely per the guarantee. I really hate to leave a poor review.

Customized & love!
This company needs a better review than the 5 I can give it. I lost my prescription shades (bad eyesight) in a lake, and contacted 4est about their floating glasses. They were very helpful and worked with me in getting everything I needed, so all I had to do was have my glasses place swap the lenses. They even followed up after to see how it went. Huge props!!! You can’t go wrong with 4EST if their customer service is this good. Karissa rocks!

Love them
Every pair is unique, but mine look very similar to the photos. Very happy the wood/stain is what I expected. Hardware is very nice, the hinges bend both ways and these feel perfectly solid. Lenses are polarized, and they fit perfect. My only gripe (but still didn't want to go lower than 5 stars) is the ad states "Every pair comes with an engraved bamboo carrying case" multiple times but I did not receive the wood case. I really don't care, but mine were just shipped in a bag and in a bubblewrap envelope. I was certain they were going to be damaged, but they arrived fine.Aside from the sketchy shipping (hey it's a fragile item) these are beautiful and I'd buy another pair in a heartbeatUpdate: Been wearing these every day for 2 months now, light abuse from dropping them etc. Zero problems, just as perfect as the day I received them. Tons and tons of compliments "are those real wood?" and people wondering where to buy. 100% satisfied with these!

Wood is Good!
I had these Shades for a few weeks now, and have already taken them on a few adventures. First off they feel heavy in a good way, you know its not cheap materials used here, and I love that they claim to plant two tree with your purchase. the Wood feels smooth and you can also "Feel" the detail in each engraving from their logo and pattern design, the packaging came with a cleaning cloth a travel pouch and the hard shell cylinder style case as well made from bamboo wood. the shade lenses themselves are Polarized and you can really tell when looking at certain camera screens or phone screens at certain angles its sorta darkens or even blackens the view. but really only at weird angles. its a perfect tint to avoid the suns bright rays as well. I have not yet dropped mine into water to test for the "floating" feature. however already I feel like this product is a solid buy.

Love the glasses however had to talk to the manufacturer ...
Love the glasses however had to talk to the manufacturer about getting a second pair after the cherry wood ones cracked on one of the wood scenes. They ended up sending me another pair but didn't have my same size so they sent me a smaller pair which I gave to a friend. Ended up reordering this pair that is made out of a plywood material which is holding up a lot better. Everybody compliments me on them however the lenses are a little cheap. But I'm also comparing them to a pair of polarized Ray-Ban.

Broke after 2 days. Cheap build.
The sunglasses are not capable of staying on your head and will fall off. It's like the arms are to weak so they don't provide enough pressure. As soon as I put them on and leaned forward they fell off my face, hit the ground, scratched the lenses and the wood frame cracked and broke and the lense fell out. I'm going to have to glue the frame back together and Ive had them less than a week. Cool concept, crappy build. Pay more money and get a sturdy pair made from plastic or metal.

Top of the pile
It takes alot to actually get my attention when it comes to sunglasses now. After 30+ pairs of Arnette, Spy, Electric, Rayban and more, I've developed a taste for good shades. And 4est's Black Maple is one eye catching spectacle. From the subtle carving on the arms, the jet black lenses and natural wood undertones, this is solid release from a newer company. It also doesn't hurt that the company values the environment, so buying these will help you do the same!

Lasted 3 months.
The initial quality looked promising but they only lasted 3 months before an arm fell off. Very disappointed.

Quite the let down...
Received the glasses on time and was initially very happy with the package. They came in a pretty cool cylinder holder, and 1st impressions were good. They felt sturdy and looked good unfortunately, they were defective. The glasses sat uneven on my face and yes, I have level ears if you were wondering. It appears the 1 arm was not the same angle/dimensions of the other and the hinge angle was not matching the other side, this caused the slant of the glasses. Although not too pleased with what I received but accepting that sometimes things arent perfect, I was further let down by the company not reaching out to me at all when I made the return and noted these issues. Because of this I did not order another pair and spent my money elsewhere. On the plus side, the return and refund was quick and simple.

Very well made and they are beautiful to look at
Very well made and they are beautiful to look at. They are super light and the carving on the side is a very nice touch. Came in a great case with a cloth bag and a microfibre cloth. Love the look and will be buying more pairs in the future! Very comfortable to wear and dont hurt my face like some other plastic pairs.
