These are literally half the price of what I have paid at a local hardware store like Harbor Freight and these appear to be of equal quality. I have been using them extensively to clean up my welds and as anyone who does metal fabrication knows, mig wire weld joints are a good deal harder than the mild steel many of us work with. These bits hold up well to grind and contour this very hard material.

These are the first Carbide Burr Set I bought so I have no reference of other sets, but this one did wonderfully, it carved quickly on the mild steel I needed to carve, I used a drill press for better control because the regular drill even when it works just fine, the carving tends to go in all directions if not properly hold.

I'm griding on cast iron from the 1970's and cannot believe what GREAT Burrs these are! Seriously these are so sharp it feels like I'm cutting aluminum! What took an hour to do with my old burr sets, took me 15 minutes and I had to be careful not to take off too much material! No question I'd buy these again!

Got these to use on wood slab and tree rings to remove bark and underlying cambium layers. I use them to smooth up the sides under the bark to get down to hardwood and remove knots, pits, and clean up rotted or spongy wood..ON WOOD THESE CHEW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like a beaver. I have a full size variable speed electric straight die grinder, put one of these rasp in the tool, and WOOD just flies off!! They hard and sharp and should last me ON WOOD a VERY very long time. And the 6 different shaped bits, allows me to process all sorts of imperfections from my slabs and rings.I have not used these on any materials besides wood, So I can not speak for the function on others materials like metal or stone. But it is good to know they should be able to handle that if I needed it ever now and then. I think these are intended for harder materials other than wood to be honest so they should last a long time/

Great product

Have been doing minor fabrication work with metal for years and these burrs are fantastic. Great for removing metal and enlarging holes or anything that requires quick removal of metal. I am using mine with an air powered die grinder. They do not seem to plug or wear easily. Have not tried with aluminum.
