Original Jaguar XJ (Original Series)

If you are restoring or considering purchasing one of Jaguar's XJ series sedans - this is virtually required reading. The book, well illustrated and featuring all known derivitives of the cars (such as Daimlers and the limited production coupes), is probably the most well researched guide you can own. It identifies not only what's correct and authentic when it comes to appearance and options, but what the weak spots and possible faults are as well. Featuring what seems like 100's of color photos, which must have been shot specifically for this book, this one should be on the shelf of every Jaguar lover's library.

Every detail needed for a correct restoration. From the engine bay to the interior, each year can be accuratelyreferenced for proper return to original specification. Plenty of very helpful photographs.

Great book for Jaguar lovers.

I find Nigel Thorley's books very informative and thorough. It is fascinating to learn about the historical account of Jags.

I bought the paper back copy as it was much cheaper than hardback. I'm happy with the book at this price but would have been disappointed with the hardback price. Overall a handy book to help identify models.
