Excellent value Ease of use Connection quality Quality Fit Yes I know, I've used the prompts below the box, didn't use functionality until now😁 I don't claim to be an Openreach engineer, but yeah the installation was a great success from start to finish. I think I'm right in saying, if the line fault is between your property and the BT cabinet, you have to pay at least £100 pounds for them (Openreach) to repair the fault. I live in a flat (apartment) the telephone line had been damaged by a rat I think, so I repaired it, and it cost me 80% less to fix.

I see from other reviews that some have problematic clips and some have a problem with the IDC insertion tool. I had no such problems. The supplied cable (I ordered 10M white) is very good quality with 2 twisted pairs. The outer sheath is easily to strip and the inner draw cord aids further stripping well. The cable is round in cross section. The IDC tool is all plastic but does the job well with no bending of the tool. The supplied clips hug the cable well and go into plaster easily with no bending of the nails. No need for a trip to the DIY store for further clips. The supplied grommets are made from rigid plastic and appear to be good quality. I didn't need the grommets, as I wasn't taking my cable through a wall. The included "instructions" are a little dated but may be useful for some as a guide to colour coding. All in all very pleased with my purchase.

We had a intermittent fault on our BT line that engineers said they couldn't fault. I replaced the cable and moved the box where it was actually convenient. in a corner out of the was not sticking out in the middle of the room where furniture would go. The cable quality was good quality, and used some of the clips. The punch down however was useless, I have used plastic ones in the past, but this one just kept buckling when used, so I used my professional one I had stored in my old tool kit.

Many thanks for this CW1308 4 Core 2 Twisted Pair cable. This is not the kind of product you can readily source in shops, so I’m pleased to find this BT standard cable for my DIY extension from the master socket to my study containing my phone and computer equipment. It is as advertised with copper wire, which is nice to see after the flat ‘plug-in type’ cable with a lesser quality wire I’ve had for many years and needed replacing. The instructions were helpful.

The cable worked fine. I like the fact the kit includes everything you need. 3 stars for the following reasons: - The description is somewhat misleading to say this is genuine OpenReach cable. What it means is that the cable meets the new FTTC 4-core style OpenReach now use. The genuine version has significantly more shielding. I would have either ordered a cheapy if I knew this was the case or, found a site selling genuine shielded cable. - Whilst the product does come with instructions, which includes a colour table, it doesn't show the matching colours from the old larger core cables. - 4 core isn't needed. 2 core is all that's needed for the modern installation (Fibre broadband and 1 phone point). I acted on the advice from the OpenReach engineer and, created 2 twisted pairs, to utilise all the cable.
