I mostly enjoy making use of scrap wood and making dowels allows me to do just that. I mounted this jig onto a 2X4 that I clamp onto my workbench when I want to use it. The screws are right up against the jig so you likely have to hand-screw it onto whatever you're mounting on which can be difficult. Once you master loosening and tightening the bolts with the allen wrench, and shaving the end of the wood to fit your drill, you're off to maximizing the use of your wood scraps!

This product is horrible. I can't describe how horrible it cuts dowels. I posted two pictures. Looks like they were chewed by beavers. No way I could use it in my wood working. Don't buy.
