I can boile eggs well the majority of the time. However, I find my self multitasking at the same time and I wanted to simplify the process. This product was delivered on time, we'll packaged and all items present. Easy to clean and set up for first use. I definitely think piercing the shell as instructed and adding the correct water volume for # of eggs and desired doneness is key to success. Some reviews discussed difficulty of piercing the egg. I held the egg gently in my cupped hand, placed the needle on the broad end of egg, steady the cup with my thumb/middle fingertips and with slight pressure rolled the cup back and forth with my other hand -ending in a perfect result every time. Follow the included directions and worked perfectly. No cracked eggs with whites bubbled out or green ring around the yolks. Immersed in ice water immediately after removing from unit.Tapped bottom of egg to begin peeling and shell came off with very little effort- eggs perfectly intact. Read directions first. I'm going to buy more of this item, from this seller for some family members. Great bargain for the price. One year warranty comes with it. Hope it lasts for years!

This handy little device is very easy to use, and was built with convenience in mind. The cable can be tucked away in a wind-around track underneath. The instructions are very well written (you don't see this very often in other machines). This device doesn't have a timer, instead it beeps when all the water is evaporated. So you measure out in a vial how much water is needed for a soft, medium, or hard boil. Then it beeps when it's done. Unfortunately it does not turn off automatically when it is done, so you have to be around to hear it beep then immediately shut it off. I have small eggs from bantam silkies, and it worked just as well, I just needed to lessen the water a little. Otherwise, this thing is crazy fast. It starts steaming within the minute and my eggs maybe took 8 minutes total.

I've always loved hard boiled eggs and making deviled eggs. Problem is... I never could get the boil right on them. They always turned out overcooked or undercooked and a nightmare to peel. Don't know why or what I was doing wrong. I bought this on a lark. Egg version of a rice cooker basically. First six eggs I did came out perfectly cooked and all peeled like a dream. Every batch since has basically been the same. Came out to the degree I wanted it cook (depending on how many eggs and amount of water you put in) and always come out and peel perfectly. For as little as it costs and for how much I like hard boiled eggs, I really would recommend it.

Maybe my definition of medium boiled versus soft boiled is different from the product manufacturer, but my first usage was cooking 6 eggs with the proper amount of water for Medium boil and they ended up runny like soft-boiled eggs (ugh!). It will take some more attempts for me to "dial in" the correct amount of water for eggs the way I like them (just a little bit under hard-boiled). The egg piercer needle doesn't work well for me. It takes a lot of pressure and twisting to get a "fractured" opening in the shell instead of the clean tiny hole shown in photos and videos. I also need to hold the egg in my hand when doing this or the opposite end cracks due to the pressure needed to pierce a hole. Maybe I'm not doing it quite right (the instructions manual is very lacking in details) but I may need to skip the piercing step. Many of the 6 eggs cooked on my first use peeled horribly. Yes I did ice-shock them after cooking, but the shells still tore the eggs apart when peeling, unlike eggs I boil on a stovetop. Hopefully I'll get properly-cooked eggs after getting an optimal water amount figured out.

THIS EGG COOKER WAS TOTALLY WORTH THEMONEY . TIPS: I know it sounds counterintuitive, but I just ran each egg under cold water long enough so I could handle them. In my experience, the hotter they are, the easier they are to peel. The side you poked the tiny hole in before steaming comes out flat. That's the side to make a crack in for the quickest peel. These are perfect hard boiled eggs that peel easily. You can do other types of eggs as well. I have been avoiding especially hard boiled egg making because it's such a pain in the neck. With this little gadget, I know I'll be making them way more often.

I bought 2 of these. One for my mom and one for my uncle. Though my mom hasn’t tried it out my uncle has. He LOVES it. He loves deviled eggs and makes them all the time now. He said it’s so easy to use and they peel great and has no problems anymore peeling the shells. Worth the buy to see him happy and loving it! He doesn’t like complicated things and said it’s so easy to use.

First off, I love hard boiled eggs, and I make them often. I will admit, I was a bit skeptical about this product, but after two uses, that skepticism has completely vanished. This little egg maker is amazing, the eggs turn out perfect and best of all, they’re super easy to peel… for me that’s literally the best part. I highly recommend this… if only they had one that made 12 eggs at a time!

We love our egg cooker. We use it mostly for boiled eggs. Quick and easy A little bit of clean up afterwards as the eggs sometimes ooze from the hold you have to give it. Perfect boiled eggs every time.
