2 Kg Co2 Fire Extinguisher

I'm kinda hoping I never have to write a review of how this works. Would be handy if it came with a bracket to fix it to a wall.They're quite heavy and errr... red.What else can one say?

Looks the part. Haven't had to use it yet. One thing to note though is that it doesn't have a maintenance certificate stuck to its back, so does not display any information of date installed as-new.

This extinguisher does not come with the horn attached and so needs to be screwed on. However tight you try to screw it the black horn connection is useless and the extinguisher horn simply hangs loose rather than in position. You end up overtightening and the grub screw provided makes no impact in securing the connection. Certainly won't be buying from Amazon again as this product is useless.

Although of very good quality,I would say it is a bit heavy for older people to handle (about 11LBS total in old money) so a 1KG powder version might be better for someone of limited strength. you also need a large spanner of 25mm to tighten the large nut holding the horn too the main body.There is a rubber 'o' ring to seal the joint, so do not over tighten the nut. The plastic horn will then stay at whatever angle you point it when in use. If you need a fire extinguisher, then it is too late to order one from anywhere, so having one and never using it is something I consider to be a good thing, not a waste of money. A neighbour of several years ago had a kitchen fire and was lucky to only need a new cooker and some re-decorating, as having no extinguisher of any kind to hand, had to rely on a towel to beat the flames out. They were VERY lucky not to have more damage/lose the house. I have one in the kitchen and one in the garage.This item is very highly recommended, even though I may never use it.

Replacement Fire Extinguishers are generally called for at an annual service time. On this occasion this and a 6litre foam extinguisher were replacements for those used to fight a home fire. The replacement service was tip top and the supplier also side-sided punitive West Highland carriage charges to get the units to the customer in double quick time. Excellent all-rounder service.

The item was dispatched quickly.The extinguisher is exactly as expected, which makes this a somewhat boring review. Hopefully we never need to use it on a real fire, but I will update this review should that happen.It comes with the wall hanging bracket, which is nice.

I can only give 5 stars for it looking the business, coming with a sturdy yet subtle hanging bracket and arriving in good time. I cannot rate it for its effectiveness at putting out fires and hope I will never have to.

Excellent, needed the extinguisher for safety cover which allows me to work from home with my companies laptop when business requires me.
