We had an assortment of pills to administer to our dog post surgery. This worked for full tablets but not for half tablets or capsules. The half tablets got stuck on the side of inner tip when plunger was pushed. Even though the opening has a split capsules do not fit and fall out quickly.

Does the job well.

One thing about Cats is that you only get one shot to give them medicine before they change their mind and then bring on the claws! We had to give kitty 2 medicines, a small pill and another liquid with thick consistency. Holding upright untill dosing, we were able to get her to swallow the pill AND the liquid in one shot. Every third day it is two small pills,,, still good. We did dilute the syrup slightly because it is thick as molassas. We used a plain syringe to measure and inject the liquid into the tablet syringe. Before the pill syringe we were grinding pills up and mixing with liquid for use in a regular syringe. This is way easier! Both of the tips we received were solid without the slit, but haven't needed, they are very stretchable. Good Kitty, Down the Hatch! :~]

I have two kinds of pills and with both, the plunger slides past them. It may be fine for big pills though.

Makes it easy to administer a pill, very small so it fits down a small throat easier.

Just what I needed

Does not dispense varying sized meds, even fairly small capsules. Total waste of money. It's really useless.
