Helps relax right muscles
I bought this for my partner because he has a lot of lower back pain/ tightness. He was really hesitant at first, he thought it would be to intense or make things worse but now it's part of his evening routine! He's still not sure if it actually helps but it doesn't make things worse lolIt took us a minute to realize that once it's on you won't feel anything until you turn up the intensity and you have to do it for both sides separately.

Strong little unit with lots of settings, maybe too many
The Masttogo Tens Unit is a bit confusing because it has many settings. It has so many settings that the instructions are kind of difficult to make out how to get it going. But once you figure it out, this is a strong little unit and the intensity levels can be set to where you find it comfortable. The unit came with a carry storage bag, a charging USB-C cable, the 2 wire leads, and 4 sets of pads (2 sets which are probably the most useful shape and size). The recommendation for the sticky pads to keep them clean and make them not so sticky is to dampen with water on the sticky side—wetting them a bit actually is the best way because just using the pads “dry” will pull a lot of the stick stuff off which will affect how the pads adhere to your skin over time and during usage. Each of the 6 massage modes has 4 pulse settings. There is a timer to set at the top. You do need to use both pads spanning the area that you are trying to stimulate; the current has to have continuity (like a point a to point b) to work. The unit starts on the lowest intensity but you can adjust that. There are 4 different pulse modes but at least 2 of the pulses modes felt the same. Just find a pulse that you find relaxing enough—slow pushing, repeated fast pushing, simulated kneading, needling etc. I would say that the pulses felt more like blunt needles with a comfortable setting, then more piercing needling when turned up to have too much intensity. I was only able to go to an intensity level of 4 before it felt too needling and uncomfortable. Although there is a timer, I would say to start with a short duration of time. The muscle and area of the body that needs stimulation also needs relaxation and running a tens unit too long can have negative effects and set back any relief you may have been looking for. The battery did not seem to drain too fast either wich is good so you can use it for a period of time to run through some of the modes and pulses and/or not have to immediately recharge it for the next usage time. This unit may just have too many settings--too confusing and you have to go through all the modes if you pass by the mode you wanted or accidentally press the mode button when trying to change the intensity level.

I Love The Simplicity Of This Mastogo TENS Unit, It's So Easy To Use!
This Mastogo has my old TENS Unit beat hands down... My old TENS unit, although very dependable, required that I set the electronic impulses based on the intensity, duration, number per second and modulation with the knobs and switches on the top and face of the unit plus I had to stock a supply of 9V batteries to power it with and they weren't cheap to purchase either, thankfully this new unit has a built in Lithium battery and a supplied USB Type C charging cable to fully charge it prior to its' first use (although the User Manual states that a A/C Charging Adapter is included mine did not have one in the box so don't be disappointed if yours doesn't have one either - I have contacted the seller to determine if the A/C adapter was overlooked during packaging or the picture and listing as one of its' features was a misprint in their Manual). To me my old unit was very confusing so when I got this Mastogo TENS Unit it removed all of my uncertainty so now I just turn this new TENS unit on by pressing the Power Button on the side, it will always default to Mode 1 but by pressing the Mode Button "M" I can work it through each of the 24 possible Modes until I find the one I'm looking for. Just prior to selecting the Mode I'm wanting to use, I would press the "A/B" button to select one or both channels that I intend to use. Personally I've never needed the use of both channels since a single channel with 2 pads attached to a single electrode cable has always been sufficient for me and my Sciatica. They also suggest in their manual that you add a couple of drops of water to each adhesive side of the electrode pads so they will last longer and of course they also state to make sure your skin is free from any dirt, oil or lotion. There are 6 Main Modes with their descriptions outlined in their User Manual as to what each of the Main Mode Functions are suited for and within those 6 you have 4 modes within each one for a grand total of 24 Modes. Once you set the Mode that feels right for you then you can press the Elongated Button on the side next to the Power Button. This button has a "+" and a "-" on each end of the button so you can increase or decrease the intensity levels as you see fit. The only other selection you will need to make is the amount of usage Time. By pressing the "T" button you can increase the usage time by 10 minutes for each press of the button for up to 60 minutes maximum. So there you have it with the press of the 5 buttons you'll be well on your way to relieving your aches or pains with this Mastogo TENS Unit! Also I would suggest you look over the User Manual since they also have a pictorial chart on page 10 showing where the best placement of the electrode pads on your body would be depending on the particular Nerve, Tendon or Muscle that you're seeking relief from! The only drawback I had was that this particular TENS Unit uses, I believe, standard 3.5mm Snap-on Connectors where my old unit used the plug-in wires on each electrode and I still have many (20 to 30) of these adhesive electrode pads that I won't be able to utilize - Que Sera Sera!

Great pads, meh machine
I have another small, inexpensive tens machine. This one has better adhesion with the sticky pads, which makes for a smoother experience. There are fewer massage options, and each of them are just one pattern for the entire time. There are no variable massages that change at a certain point or grow in intensity. The instructions are not very helpful in defining different patterns. It can't be set as high as the other one (might be rechargeable battery vs AAs).The navigation is also a little annoying if trying to have both sides do the same thing. It is impossible to start both sides at the same time. Navigation is simple, and I guess the option to do two different areas with different patterns at the same time could be useful. It works, it's an inexpensive little starter pack, and does come with a travel bag. Really depends on what you want one for.
