Fantastic shoe from Brooks. I’ve not tried any trail shoes before, but used their Adrenaline GTS running shoes in many iterations. Tested these out today on a very wet, muddy trail, with sections of steep incline over wet rocks and didn’t slip once. Really great purchase.

Heel wore away in less than 5 months, I only use these for walking the dog 5-10 miles 3x a week and there failing already, iv asked for a refund. Waiting on the seller getting back to me. Edit the company gave me a full refund right away very pleased.

I bought these shoes back in May and from the box I was very happy with the fit and performance. I run dry / rocky trails and liked the comfort, protection and grip. However after only a couple of months and less than 200K (from the photo you can see that the sole shows very little wear) I began to see heavy wear where the achilles touches the shoe. I under pronate when running and I have seen this issue in shoes of lower grade but not in shoes with this level of reputation. In fact I wear a different model from Brooks for roads (Ghost) and have never seen this problem (which was one factor in persuading me to buy these shoes). It's a shame. I liked the shoes and the way they feel, but ultimately they have disappointed.UPDATE: Just out of interest I decided to write to Brooks via their customer care portal on their website in the US. I did it really just to make sure someone had made them aware of the issue but without any great expectation. Amazingly they wrote back promising me a new pair which should arrive this week (I haven't actually received them yet!). If it's true then that is truly exceptional customer service. I will update this comment if and when they arrive.

Great comfortable shoe, mostly do road running but needed this for some off-road runs. Don't hurt my knees or joints. Could do with slightly longer laces but maybe that's a personal preference.

Good running shoe bought on the recommendation of a friend.I’m a little disappointed that on this particular pair the material has frayed after just three months.

Great shoes

After looking at reviews and recommendations online for shoes for supinators (people who tend to walk on the outsides of their feet), I found these to be one of the most recommended. They have yet to disappoint me. My feet feel better, and my legs and back actually feel better. For now, I'd have to say I'd definitely buy them again.

I have had these shoes for a week now and I absolutely love them. I have used them daily on trails ranging from 3-5 miles and my feet feel great. They are fairly lightweight, supportive and give you a great feel (wish more shoes offered a wide size). The grip is also a strong point and is more than enough for anything I would use them for. Like I said I have only had these a week so I cannot comment on the longevity of the shoes, but they seem very well constructed so I'm sure that won't be much of an issue. All in all I think these are a great value for such a good shoe.

Cushion needs to be more cushiony. Like the Ghost 11

Very comfortable, durable construction. Grip is good, but not excellent for mud when going up or down hill. Dries quickly.Very stable, but I can see this being a limitation for faster runners.
