Sweet as Candy and Grown in the USA
These dates are very large and are as sweet as candy. I'm not an expert on dates, so I can't be positive of this, but they seem very fresh to me: they are moist and don't have the hazy film on their surface that some other, older-seeming, dates that I tried have had. The package states that these are California Medjool Dates, but it doesn't say for sure whether these are grown in the USA. I visited the Oh Nuts website to get more information and it did say that these dates are indeed grown in California. I was glad to see that because I try my best to buy food that is grown and packaged in the USA. The only ingredients listed on the label are "Medjool Dates" so I am assuming that these are preservative free and don't have any added sugar. I would certainly recommend these dates to anyone who is looking for high quality, USA grown dates.

The Real Deal
After being disappointed in the local selection of dates, I came here to Amazon, as I'm guessing whoever is reading this has also done. I have some good news for you. These are very good dates. Each one was perfect: large, fresh, plump, flavorful, chewy- the full package. Do not hesitate to purchase these. They are 100% worth the price and wait for delivery. One caveat, these are not pitted, so bite down with caution.

Always Buy Whole Dates!
Delicious and moist. Always buy whole dates, not pitted. The pitted dates dry out, not nearly as good as whole dates.

Excellent customer service & quality dates
I had an issue with my first order, and customer service was phenomenal. I highly recommend working with Oh! Nuts and these dates. They are what they say they are. They are moist, plump, and soft. Don't get me wrong, they aren't 100% fresh like you'd find direct from the grower, but they're way better than what you'd find in a typical grocery store.
