Wonderful flavor!
I've tried many varieties of instant oatmeal and by far this is the best! The blend of spices and ingredients are fantastic! It truly is an "add water, zap in micro, and go" breakfast! Delicious!

Fills You Up, Lacks Flavor
Umpqua Oats Fruit & Nuts Kick Start is a convenient and fairly healthy breakfast option. The oats are heavy and thick once prepared, and they are also the predominant flavor that you'll taste while eating this oatmeal. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but some folks like a tad more fruity flavor in their oatmeal in the morning (myself included).I've tasted better oatmeal over the course of my forty plus years on this earth, and based on the price point alone, I would probably steer away from these oats until the flavor improves. That's why I'm giving them three stars. They aren't bad, but they aren't that great either.

Delicious and convenient
I eat a lot of oatmeal for breakfast in the winter and -- because I don't like morning -- I eat breakfast at work so I need a convenient way to eat it. In my current work space, bringing a bowl to microwave my oatmeal is not possible so an oatmeal that cooks in its own container is a bonus. I put hot water from the coffee maker in rather than tap water so I got a good cook in a minute in the microwave.A lot of microwaveable oatmeal is made with really small chopped pieces of oats so it looks like mush when it is cooked. This has full rolled oats so you get a better mouth feel. I got the Fruit & Nuts flavor which also has dried blueberries and nuts plus cinnamon. It is really delicious. My only qualm about this flavor is that between the dried fruit and the added sugar there are 21 grams of sugars in it. That is too much for me so this will be the last time I get that flavor and would instead try the Not Guilty flavor with no added sugars.

Delicious and Easy
These are delicious. Perfect for using in camping or anyplace you need to preserve on supplies. Just add boiling water and let sit a few minutes and they make a yummy breakfast.

High convenience, high cost, high sugar
Very tasty oatmeal in convenient single-serving containers. A little more added sugar than I'd like, and rather pricey. If you're planning to eat oatmeal every day, you're better off mixing together some oats and dried fruits in bulk.

Tasty oatmeal with simple, quality ingredients.
I like the simplicity and quality of these oatmeal cups, and I really appreciate that there are no preservatives. They are a little on the sweet side to my taste (the second ingredient is cane sugar), but still enjoyable. The texture is nice and thick. Definitely a good option to have at work or when camping, or if you're in a hurry at home. To make the oatmeal, you just have to pour hot water into the cup, cover, and steep for 3 minutes. Then stir and it's ready to eat! You can also microwave the cup if you want, but the hot water option is the "preferred" option according to the packaging. There are 8 grams of protein in each serving. Each cup has a plastic freshness seal under the lid. The cups are made from paper, with a plastic coating on the outside. There doesn't appear to be a coating on the inside, which is good because I'm always concerned about BPA exposure with plastic food containers. The cups are manufactured by a packaging company called Visstun and I couldn't find any information on their website about BPA.

To my taste, hopefully yours - very healthy - not real sweet - handy
To anyone who has had the sweet, boxed instant oatmeals in the packets, this is similar in last, yet because it has a few nuts, I think that tase comes through as well. The ingredients are all natural, wonderful foods, all of them. And of course there is a sweetener - cane sugar - to be expected that it will be added with this billing. Well it isn't that sweet, and the oatmeal goodness is quite nice - substantial indeed. I have been on a diet for quite some time, yet I get to eat 4 eggs in the morning + cheese + olive oil + pico de gallo - so if I am satisfied after eating this, I suppose it could either be a fluke or This is filling. I prefer the latter. I figured that a person could have more than one if need be, and because I am going out to lunch rather early, and I need to go off-diet, I have taken the opportunity today to try it.Honestly, I do not really know if you need to fill the little bowl/cup/container all the way, but I did, and I feel that hotter water might have been better. I had some juice at the bottom, but it was quite tasty, so not sure if you would want to put a bit less water. I recommend not to do that though.I am happy overall, and I love the portability/flexibility! And taste/health factor.Enjoy

Very Similar to Quaker
I was excited about this product. I like easy to fix breakfasts for the mornings and oatmeal is always a favorite. However, I wasn't overly impressed with this brand. It really didn't taste much different than the far cheaper Quaker packets. They didn't cook up too well either, even following the directions exactly. The oats were a bit rubbery and undercooked. The fruit and nuts flavor was fine otherwise. There was very little in the way of actual fruit or nuts, but the flavoring was there- very similar to Quaker. But the cup is a nice way to package it for on-the-go breakfasting.
