Best algaecide I have used
I have used other algaecides (clorox brands) and they kind cut down on the algae bit did not eliminate it. Used this for the first time and followed instructions to pour it in the skimmer and let it run for 24 hours. The following morning there was no trace of algae in the pool or in the filter.

Killed and cleaned the pool
Great product that was easy to use. Put it in late afternoon and algae was dead the next morning.

Will it work though??
I don't know if this is only for specific types of algae but it really touch my issue. I have an 18' above ground swimming pool that I just opened a coupe of weeks ago. I noticed that the water was developing a film to it and I couldn't get rid of it. The more research I did, the more I realized I had an algae problem. From there, I started trying to find a product that wouldn't break the bank but would be effective at solving my problem, especially since my pool holds less than 5,000 gallons.I followed the directions on the package, and installed a new filter hoping for a nice clear pool but the issue did not clear up. In some ways it actually seemed to get worse. As this stuff met with the algae, it basically just settled on the bottom of the pool. Running the vacuum dispersed it right back into the water, putting us mostly back to square 1.I have a Bestway Flow clear 2000 gallon/hr pump which allows me to control my pump from my phone. It also alerts me if there are issues with the system. Within less than 48 hours of putting in the new filter, the filter needed to be changed; it was covered in what looked and felt like mint green paint (!?!).I think that this stuff sort of worked, as in it does bond with the algae and maybe if you have a stronger pump, stronger vacuum, etc it may do the trick. Unfortunately, this package was supposed to clear up to a 13000 gallon pool and it did not do it for us.Needless to say, I've since ended up at Lowe's and bought something else called Yellow Out, which has already done a much better job at getting rid removing what I now know is mustard algae, than this stuff did.If you're dealing with mustard Algae, it will look like sand on the bottom of your pool and may look either greenish or yellowish in tint. It's been a pain in the butt to get rid of but again I think the yellow out was a better option for us.I'll give this product some credit for pulling what it did out and down from the water, but the lack of clarity on the instructions and the fact that it didn't in fact make my pool as clear as it claimed it would has earned them a 3 for me.Good luck!
