6 Cups Equal 1 pound
This is what I use for my Hayward DE filter, I just cleaned out my DE filter getting ready for the new season, everyone asked how many cups of DE does it take to equal a pound, answer 6 cups.So I pulled out my food scale and I measured 3 cups equals 1/2 pound. Did it twice to suffice My DE filter is rated for 4 lbs so I put in 24 cups of DE.
