Yes, you may remove the V5-Cell Filter from your HealthPro Plus and only run the PreMax Pre-Filter and HyperHEPA Filter. Of course, only draw back to removing the V5-Cell Filter is that you will no longer be able to filters gases, odors and chemicals.

is this filter encased in stryofoam? I received a new edition compact today and it appears that the filters on the top and bottom are encased in styro
