The Best Lower Cost Alternative That I've Tried
I switched from regular socks to toe socks over a year ago. Once you adjust to the feel they are a big improvement. I've only been accumulating Injini socks one pair at a time because they are so expensive. The quality is unbeatable, but handing over $12+ for one pair of socks is just painful. I've tried some of the other brands and been disappointed. While Injini socks are 100% synthetic fibres, the lower cost ones are mostly cotton. For any active situation- running, tennis, workout, etc- that involves a lot of sweat, poly materials are unbeatable. They absorb & wick sweat and they are soft. That helps prevent rubbing, blisters and soggy feet. I didn't realise how big the difference is until wearing nothing but the Injini synthetic socks for a while. When I put on one of the cotton socks, they felt like sandpaper in my shoes and I noticed it the entire time. When just doing average daily chores, it's tolerable, but not while running. I tried repeatedly washing and soaking them in fabric softener. It helped, but only so much. However, I've found these particular ones to be the best of the non-synthetic alternatives. For one thing, they fit my men's size 8.5-9.0 feet perfectly. The typical "fits 6-12" ones are always way too big. Also, they are relatively thin- similar to the Injini lightweight ones, I'd say. The description details say they are 80% cotton and 20% synthetic materials. There wasn't any fibre content information on the package. I'm guessing it's the thinner weave that keeps them from feeling as rough as cotton typically feels, but it could be that they actually have a little higher synthetic content. Either way, they are a reasonably priced alternative that fits and feels good. So, if you are searching for an Injini alternative that isn't plagued by the typical drawbacks of cotton, these are the best I've found.

Works well for a foot that has been in a non weight bearing boot for 10 weeks
I broke my ankle X3 in January while shoveling snow, and spent most of the winter in a splint, and then a non weight bearing boot. I recently was removed from the boot and moved to PT. I found out that although I broke my ankle, my toes really, really hurt from being enclosed for so long. I had an old pair of toe socks from back in the day, and noticed a major improvement in how my toes felt while wearing them. Washing out a pair of toe socks every single day is a major pain, so I searched Amazon for some additional toe socks. I like this particular brand because of the neutral colors, the fabric type and the fit. These straighten my toes out quite nicely, and although they still hurt, at least they are not cramped up. The fabric is a good blend, and my feet do not sweat while wearing these. They are relatively easy to wash, although I wash all my socks inside out, so it's been fun straightening out the toes after the socks dry :). There was minimal shrinkage after laundering, which was another plus for me. I feel the price on these was very good for 4 pairs, and would purchase again. Recommended.

Good fitting toe socks, too thin.
They are comfortable and fit well. They were thinner than I had hoped, so not going to be durable.
