Works well
I thought this was interesting so I wanted to try it out. I’m glad I did.It is portable, you can take it tailgating, park, in the house to the back yard, wherever. It is a good size and lightweight.I used this in the house first just to try it out and it worked great. It sucked the steam and the odors. It worked just as well as my regular range hood. I then tried it by the grill and it worked there great as well. Now it does seem like it takes up more space by the grill because of the area you have to sit it on. I sat mine in a table that I have by my grill that I use when grilling. It worked out great for me.This is such a great idea.

Horrible
This does absolutely nothing but blow the air it sucks in right back out the otherside . The description it totally false . The screen in the front falls off every 2 seconds .

Larger than I thought.
This fan is OK. It does the job. It is larger than I expected so I don’t use it as I thought I would because of space. When I took it out to test it it did function as expected by helping eliminate some odors .

Needs More Power
The media could not be loaded. I thought this would be the solution to my deep frying woes, but so far, it has not been terribly helpful. I initially put this thing about 8"-10" away from a pan of boiling water, just to see if it could manage to pull the steam in from next to my stove. It could only manage to pull a small amount of the steam over, as the suction force just wasn't strong enough. I moved the unit closer and closer, eventually placing the unit so close that I was worried the heat from the burners was going to melt it. At this distance, it was within 1" of actually touching the pot of boiling hot water. It was able to pull in about half of the steam. Seeing as this wasn't actually a real-world use case for me, I decided to try it with a large cast iron skillet while pan frying some chicken. Miserable fail. Even with the fan uncomfortably close to my piping hot cast iron full of 350 degree oil, it did a mediocre job of pulling in any of the oil mist. Overall, this thing just isn't strong enough for the job it intends to fill. Also, the thing is so top heavy that I was concerned it was going to fall into my pan! Back to the drawing board, I guess.

As good as a built in...
The media could not be loaded. I live in an apartment with a stove that doesn't include an exhaust fan. So any type of cooking tends to add layers of discoloration to the walls which also means that... I do a LOT of wall cleaning!I really like this exhaust fan because it's small enough to fit up on my counter without taking up a lot of space but even on mid fan, it's powerful enough to actually get the job done! So far, I'm really impressed with this little fan and would definitely recommend this😊👍🏾

Good size, very effective!
The Portable Mini Range Hood is a compact and efficient solution for small kitchens or desktop cooking setups. It’s surprisingly powerful for its size and does a great job of clearing out smoke and odors. Perfect for anyone with limited space but still wants an effective range hood and a good bbq experience.

Incredible if you don't have a hood!
Some of the reviews I read made it sound like this thing didn't work; I think that might be user error or they are expecting way too much. It ABSOLUTELY works! When I turned it on at first I thought it was disappointing, but it turns out I was on the low-speed setting. I switched it to high speed, and it was a total game-changer.My use-case is searing steaks in a kitchen with no hood vent. I positioned this at the edge of the skillet, probably about 2 inches away, and pointed the fan down towards it. Before this, my entire apartment would get smokey for about 10 minutes even with the windows open. Using this, I could see the smoke getting sucked up and only my kitchen got a bit smokey for a few minutes.I would say it reduced the smoke by about 75%, which is phenomenal. It is more limited than a full range hood, but that should be obvious. For a single pan, if you have the space to put this next to it (and an outlet), it absolutely works.
