Subtle smell; clean and makes me feel sexy

The 120 ml / 4 fl oz pure grace luminous body oil arrived in a perfume-like, heavy glass bottle, which was inside a box sealed with plastic. Directions (“shake well before use”) and Ingredients are listed on the box but not the bottle.I’ve been using this luminous oil for more than a week. I don’t usually like skincare, etc. that needs to be shaken (I sometimes forget), but I think because of the sparkles it looks like it should be, so it hasn’t been an issue. However, my hands found the chunky, rectangular bottle a bit uncomfortable to hold and spray. It’s too wide with no narrowing curves for my fingers to find.The spray has misted well almost all the time, but twice the spray came out heavier, and I’m not sure why. This is a lighter oil that doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, and it absorbs quickly on my skin (it’s a good weight for summer), but it does have a texture.The luminous/sparkly effect (looks like it’s from two forms of mica, tin oxide, and titanium dioxide) is subtle but clearly visible in the right light. Those nicely spaced out, little reflective sparkles make this lightly scented oil fun. I’ve enjoyed spraying my arms and legs.I found pure grace to be a light fragrance that’s almost more about what it’s not: it’s not overly sweet, floral, or musky. It takes about ten minutes to settle on me, and to my nose the leafy green heart stands out. For me, this scent reflects the easy casualness of a summer day. This fragrance isn’t strong, but the light scent is detectable for a couple of hours on me, and a little longer if I really look for it.Vegan. “philosophy clean”. The brand has stated it’s now leaping bunny certified (fabulous), but there’s no logo or language on the bottle/ box that I could find. An icon states the fragrance should be good for at least 24 months. “Made in USA with imported parts”.

The material quality is very good. My wife has very sensitive skin. She bought similar products before, but they irritated her skin and caused redness, swelling and itching, but this one does not. Good product

This philosophy pure grace luminous body oil is right up my alley in terms of what I love in a product. This is a scented luminous oil, so it is quite obviously important that you like the scent of this product to properly review it. I have loved and adored all the philosophy grace scents for years. I find them very clean smelling, and not overwhelming for my nose or others. Their scents are like a gentle, warm hug. So, knowing that I already love this scent, I was interested to see if I would like the luminous body oil. I tend to avoid many products like this, because often the glory bits are more akin to a disco ball than a soft glow. I think philosophy understands that most women ordering this scent are probably at least in their 30's, and we don't necessarily want to look like we're headed to Studio 54. The oil delivers a subtle sparkle that you will only catch in certain lights, or with movements of body parts. The "glow" isn't overwhelming or in your face. The oil itself is what I would call a dry oil. Unlike most body oils, it doesn't leave an oily or slick coating on your skin, but dries down to a dry finish. The down side of this is that my skin doesn't feel as moisturized as using a traditional body oil, but the upside means that I'm not leaving oily marks wherever my skin makes contact with another surface. For me, this luminous oil is all about the scent and subtle glow rather than the moisture- though it does provide some moisture to the skin. Pure Grace is a difficult scent to apply too much of. Most people love the scent, and it doesn't linger for a super long time, but it is a scent that your loved one would still notice hours later if they were to get close to you. It's a wonderful fragrance and a wonderful product.

This feels very odd and kind of uncomfortable on the skin. It's kind of hard to explain but it doesn't make your skin feel soft like a lotion or oil but not tacky either. It makes my skin feel rough. There also doesn't seem to be a scent to the oil. The slight glitter is pretty so I gave it a couple stars for that.

This is a very expensive body oil!It’s very pretty and well packaged but pricey.I like the subtle smell, it and the shimmer lasts long through the day.
