Been using this daily for the past year as my 15+ y/o schnoodle boy has exhibited canine dementia since he had a medical emergency back in January. It has been very effective for us. While not fully recovered, I'm seeing him slowly return cognitively. There is no smell and it doesn't affect his appetite negatively. Being a very fine powder, I put his dosage in a gel cap and give fasted 1st thing every morning, making administering much easier. He still circles some but, overall, that has begun diminishing and he's remembering how to settle and enjoy just sitting and relaxing with me again, which is great for his energy & physical health

I fed this to my two cats and it was effective, I noticed a difference in their cognitive abilities and it helped them both get over illnesses and I’m re-purchasing it for My 12+ year-old cat. She won’t eat it with her wet food by itself, but we add meow mix bisque to stimulate her appetite in a small amount and that covers the flavor and then I slowly reduced the meow mix mix in and she now will eat it with the powder and her wet food alone. It’s just about getting her adjusted.

i bought this when my senior cat began having cognitive problems. after mixing the required amount into his food for about two weeks i noticed a significant improvement. this last approximately two years before he began to decline for other reasons. i recommend this product highly SAM-e also works for humans (google the facts)

I’m sure this product works well, but my cats did not like the taste and would not eat it. SAMe is supposed to help with liver issues so I really was eager to try it, but unfortunately, they wouldn’t eat it.

While initially this may be beneficial for cats it had a terrible, unexpected feature. I had it for several months. Then, when I reopened the snugly fitting lid to give my cat another dose I found, to my dismay, that the powder inside had congealed into a hard brown rock structure(!) I had to use an ice pick to chip it out of the jar. I put the hard pieces from the container into my stone mortar & used the pestle to pound it back into powder form. I left a sizeable portion of the milk thistle powder in the mortar with pestle in the bowl. Several days later it had turned into a shiny stone and the pestle was frozen into the stone. Neither the pestle nor the stone-powder can be removed. And neither the scoop nor the milk thistle turned to stone in the original container can be removed without a chisel. I tried soaking all in water but it only softened at the edges and all is still frizen and immobilized in the mortar bowl. Terrible.

Cat won't consume anything that has this powder in it. Can't use.

I use this in wet cat food to calm a neurotic cat. She let's out a yeoul from time to time and is very skittish. This seems to help very well.

I tried every way I could think of to get my elderly cat to ingest this. Wet food didn’t work- he wouldn’t eat it- tried the to mix with squeeze treats- wouldn’t eat it. I even tried to mix with water and squirt in his mouth. This made him throw up. After that any time I tried to get him to eat it he projectile vomited after smelling the food. Now I am unable to return so that’s $ down the drain. 😡 Update: the company saw my review and offered me a full refund. Excellent customer service.
