Firestone 2497 Universal Compressor Mount

Kit worked perfectly for mounting my air rite compressor on my 2014 F-350. The kit is pretty much self explanatory.

This kit worked very well for mounting my hornblasters tank and compressor to the truck frame rails.... However.... I ordered 3 kits... All 3 kits had bad bolts in them they were not threaded properly and I ended up getting these 3/8 course bolts from home depot to complete my install... I'm giving this a poor review because there are many of these bad kits out there and it's a simple fix... If I had the time I would have fabricated these brackets for half the price but I was under a time constraint and needed this done before my trip.

Would not work on my 23 F450. The u bolt brackets weren't even close to fitting over my frame. Ended up making my own.

Used to mount a compressor without drilling the frame. Works well.

The kit came with no mounting instructions. You'd think it would be obvious how it goes together but it wasn't that obvious to me and I consider myself average to above average in mechanical ability, etc. I finally found a picture of a suggested mounting application on the firestone website. I ordered the wrong mounting kit and had to modify it to fit my pressure manifold as this kit is only for the compressor. A nice upgrade would be nylock nuts- the ones they provide are not that great. It's worth the money. the other suggestion would be to turn this kit into a semi-weather-proof box where you could house your compressor and associated components.

Purchased to mount my Ride-Rite 2451 system to my Tundra... The Ride-Rite mounted to the kit fine... but there was no way (or, really no place) to attach the mount to the Tundra. I ended up fabricating my own mount with sheet metal and returned this, saving myself quite a bit of money.
