“Brilliant” rear light
Very bright light, and the down-facing light makes you very visible. The brake light function works well too. Battery life is good, gets me through most or all of a week of commuting twice a day. I had a problem with my first light after 18 months of use but the support was fantastic, with a replacement sent out without quibble. I have a Magicshine Allty 1500 front light too which is great - “brilliant” value for money from both.

Bright, such a great light
Brilliant, it lights up the ground surrounding the rear of bike for excellent visibility.

Really bright and the brake light part is very good
This is blindingly bright, so you can lower the brightness and get a longer battery life. Various modes will make you visible even in daytime and as for night time watch you don't blind the people behind you. It is easy to fit with the ubiquitous rubber band style fit but it is a shame there is no clip to hold it onto the clip on saddle bags, that would be a real bonus. Probably the best rear light I have had to date, with it being so small it is not the best on battery life but as above, turn it down and it will last not too bad.

Very impressive luminosity
Excellent luminosity (if that's such a word), the 360 degree portal at the bottom is a game changer for visibility. The lens is good and shows a clear, bright and penetrating light. Too early to report on battery life, but I am very impressed so far. The mounting brackets are good too - hanger for a saddle mount and band for the seat post mount are both good.

Nice rear light on the face of it, but buyer beware, not good
Developed a fault after only a few months use- battery drains empty when not in use. I do not recommend this product and amazon is not offering any return support either. Time to cancel Amazon Prime subs and go back to shopping on the high street I think.

Bright and easy to charge
So far so good. This light is indeed very bright with sophisticated features. What I really like about it is the easy of removing it from its mounting on the bike frame for purposes of recharging . At the time of the review I have only had it three weeks and have yet to assess its longevity. However it seems well able to cope with wet and muck from roads here in the South West.

Brilliant light, poor / faulty battery
I love night riding and this has been my absolute favourite rear light design so far. It has been paired with my much loved MagicShine RN3000 front light and I also use the RN1500 on my helmet so I hate to give this thing a poor rating but it has been very unreliable. My thoughts when it works: I love the compact design and the unique lower glow light really makes me feel extra safe and visible on the road in the dark. Cars seem to give a wider berth because you kind of look bigger than you are with the surrounding red glow. The smart mode is my favourite and enables you to set and forget, ready to just reach down and turn on without scrolling through modes. The braking mode works well but it uses a heck of a lot of battery so I only used it once. Maybe my particular unit is the issue there. The seatpost strap mount is perfect for my bike and the light easy twists on or off the mount so you don't have to awkwardly unstrap it every time you remove it like some other lights. The battery however... It has issues holding a charge. A few times within the first month I had it go into power saving mode and promptly die after less than 5 minutes of use from a full charge (showing green light). I was a few days past my Amazon return window but fortunately, I thought, the issue seemed to disappear. Things were probably not 100% though and after a couple of months of further use, I am lucky to get much more than about 30 minutes runtime in the smart mode. I am constantly worrying about it dying and always reaching to turn it on and off to save battery for busier roads which is far from ideal. It would be a 4.9 rating light if the battery worked properly and if there was a V3 of this thing, a bigger battery capacity in general and a USB C charging port would make it 5. Edit: I see there is now a USB C version.
