No annoying auto AC shutdown! Great unit!
This Takki S81 is great! I need 120V AC on/near my kitchen table for laptop when battery dies. It takes up less room than the older Anker unit I used. This power station provided an additional 11 hours of laptop runtime from "dead to dead agajn". The S81 provides 80 watts of 120 volts continiually, but laptop charger only draws 40-42 watts until laptop reaches 85%, then draws 25 watts. S81 didnt run 11 hours, but I charged laptop partially twice ran it 11 hours more from dead. Best part, S81 doesnt shut off automatically when AC power draw is under 20 watts like my older Anker unit. It kept AC output on with a 1 watt load, as well as nothing plugged in. The USB outputs will shut off after 20 seconds though if the DC draw is too low as with smaller devices or approaching full charge. Luckily the manual stated that to avoid this, simply turn on the AC outlet, even though no AC cord needs to be plugged into it. Cooling fan didnt come on until running AC for 1 hour, but was extremely quiet. My Anker unit fan comes on right away with same laptop, based on sensing power draw, not temperature. Had to struggle to hear fan on the Takki. Discharging air measured only 100⁰F. Initially was looking for a fanless station due to my Anker station fan became very loud over 5 years. Wish I knew that Takki made the "S81 Max" model. Is identical in every way, dimensions, power, etc., except a 25% bigger battery (25% more runtime) for only $28 more. I also wish this unit was pure sine wave AC, but is "modified sine wave" (square wave). No issue running the laptop charger though. Great looking unit! And compact size which was biggest attraction. Great for low powered AC appliances. Convenient, compact, attractive, and many features/functions.

Great size for a good price with good amount of battery
Good battery pack for a good price. Takes forever to charge though.

Essential for remote/primitive camping!
We took this portable power station on a 10-day remote camping trip in Alaska, and it exceeded all our expectations. It kept our phones and flashlights charged with no issues at all. We also used it to power the air mattress pump. The flashlight on this unit was super bright, and came in handy in the dry cabin at night, as well as random trips to the outhouse in the dark. We charged it using a solar panel (not included) during the day and also topped it off while driving between camping spots using the car outlet. Both methods worked smoothly, and we never once ran out of power. This thing was a game-changer for staying connected, navigating, and just keeping our gear functional in the wilderness. It’s well-built, easy to use, and light enough to haul around without much trouble. If you're heading off-grid—especially somewhere as remote as Alaska—this is a must-have. Highly recommend!

Works for phones and computers
Bought for home use to charge phones and computers during power outages. Does a good job of that. Would not run a small space heater so will need a bigger one for that. Can charge via power cord and solar panels. Only 4 stars because needs a compartment or bag to store all the cords and solar panels. Great buy and better than a big gas generator. If you wanna run your big stuff during power outages, buy the bigger one.

Pretty great for small size!
I just picked this up today and, so far, it's great! Lightweight, portable, ready to go, small size. As you can see from the picture, the solar panel is larger than the generator. Charging it outside now. There was some juice already so I could see how bright the light is. Take advice from the manual and don't look at it. It's bright. I'll update again after using it a bit. UPDATE: I'm a little disappointed. This takes forever to charge! I spent a couple hours outside charging with the solar panel and barely got 1 bar. I finished charging by plugging it in and it still took hours. Additionally, it won't power my 120v electric kettle and the small light I use only stays on a short while. I was able to get a couple of charges on my phone and small, portable power source but I'm considering returning it. Maybe there is something wrong with this one and I should troubleshoot...? Will do that and update again. LAST UPDATE: I figured out how to power my light. It turns off after a few seconds no matter if I choose AC power or use the USB attachment. When it turns off I switch it up. For instance, if I click on AC power, the lights for both AC and USB turn on. When my light goes off I switch off the AC power leaving only USB and then it stays on. It works the other way too. If I start just USB, then I have to hit AC. I'm disappointed that I can run my kettle off of it but I found another solution to that and I do like this little generator, even if it takes 5 hours to charge fully. This is definitely single person use and needs to be charged often. If I were to do it again, I would get one with more power that I can actually plug things into. So far, only the USB and C ports are useful to me.

Awesome power station
Awesome power station, I love the solar panel. It's very light weight. Easy to travel with. So glad I bought this. Definitely great for hurricanes and camping

Small, and very useful.
Works great, for its size. It won’t power up a fridge , but will work for all smaller devices you may use for camping. Phone, laptop, misting fans, air compressors and etc. the fact that it comes with solar panels for its price is what convinced me to get this. First thing I did was use the solar panels to charge this baby up. I work for the post office and always have misting fans. Mini hand held blowers, battery jumpers and other devices that I power up and charge width this using free energy with those solar panels. Best investment by far. Good price compared to all the others I’ve seen. And I’m thinking of getting a bigger one to run some household items. 😀

Awesome at least I know I'm going to have power on my next Black out, third one of the year, absolutely ridiculous but I'll be okay

I love this product! The unit itself is very nicely designed, well built, and extremely easy to use. The indicators on the device are stylistic and easy to read. I purchased this unit before heading out on a family camping trip. I know...I know...who needs phones or charging!? You're camping! If you're like me though - with teenaged kids, you know how important their phones are to them! We charged it up before we left and it held it's charge very well. Between my wife and I and our 3 teens, we were able to charge all of our phones more than once before needing to recharge the unit with it's handy car adapter. At home, it's a cinch to recharge as well - simply plug into the wall and after a reasonable amount of time your portable charger is full and ready to go. We also found the built in LED light very handy at night for times when you had to walk away from the campfire or just for inside the tent. It puts off a surprising amount of light! We bring this with us practically everywhere we go now, whether it's to the soccer field or in the car on long trips. Great for a family on the go!

This thing is awesome and exactly what I was hoping for it. It's very small which makes it easy to carry with you. I keep mine charged and in my car and have already been glad I had it once. It was super easy to set up - just unpack it and charge although mine was basically charged when it got here. I love this thing so far.
