Reviewing this as a gun cabinet, not a safe. In the pictures the door looks much like a heavy safe door, but it's not. The "box" of the cabinet is sheet metal, as is the door. Arrived in good shape after quick shipping. Instructions are good and 4 lag bolts are included for securing the safe to the floor or wall. However, bear in mind the bolts go through sheet metal that can be defeated by just a moderate amount of force. The programmable lock works fine. The locking bolts on the door also work fine, but again, use the sheet metal edge of the door opening to lock against. A crowbar could be used to defeat the door in just a few minutes. Because the sheet metal tends to "clang" when disturbed, I plan to line mine with peel and stick carpet tiles to keep the sound down. Something to think about if you will be using this to quickly and quietly access a firearm for home defense. This cabinet is good for child safety. It will keep young, curious hands off your firearms, but even an amateur burglar could gain access given some time and tools. No fire protection, either. So, as gun cabinets go, this is a good one for its price, but it's not a safe.

Construction is adequate and actually a great deal for the price. The lock mechanism is a bit delicate but works. The locking bars have a good distribution over the door which is why I got it after seeing a friend's. You could get stronger, but it would cost 3-4x more money. This is enough to keep my kids, visitors, or a casual thief out. A couple guys with crowbars and a lot of time could probably get into it but if you're worried about that, you'll be spending $1000 at least. Very tall compartment can hand any rifle. I'll probably build a little shelf inside to rest shorter long guns on and will allow me to pack more ammo underneath. It showed up damaged from shipping with some dents. However, the seller was very responsive and took care of things to my satisfaction. In short, despite the bang ups from shipping I'm still happy to have gone with this seller. If you have problems, simply reach out to them and they'll make it right.

It is a cheap gun cabinet. Not a safe. It works well, keeps kids out, and is not really any worse than a regular fire "resistant" safe. Much lighter than one of those too. Biometric can be a little finicky even after logging the same finger multiple times.

The Quicktec gun cabinet is perfect for any home or home office. I'm able to store my rifles and shotguns with ease. Up to 5 on the rack and a separate lockbox with key for handguns or other valuables. The setup was pretty easy and took only 5 minutes to complete. You get a set of keys for the safe and internal lockbox but the best part is setting up your "Biometrics" fingerprint security access. It's small enough that it fits anywhere in your home and only weighs 99 pounds. Once it’s in place, you have the option of bolting it to the floor or wall with the provided hardware. It’s a great deal overall.

I had high hopes for this "safe" and was let down pretty hard. It arrived and box was already questionable as it had some damage. Not terrible but it was ripped alittle. I open it up to find what looks like a pretty in tac "safe". Then I open the "safe" and notice something glaring right threw it....it was the sun!! It has a massive crack on the top seem. This isn't a safe but a gun cabinet with a heavy door. It also weighs around 50 pounds so picking it up is easy. This wouldn't last against fire, a fall or tip over or even my 5 year old nephew with a screw driver. Folks if you want a safe I know it sucks but take it from me, someone who was trying to be cheap, just buy a real safe and if you can't afford it save even more money and just buy a gun cabinet. Now I have to figure out a way to get it to UPS and return it. Also was asked to package it in its original packing. What a headache. Take it from me and buy a real safe.

This a great entry level gun cabinet and perfect for most people’s needs. Sure the metal on the sides and back is a little thin, but just watch the YouTube videos of guys busting into the more expensive safes in minutes anyway. Will it keep out professional thieves? No, and neither will any other safe or security cabinet you purchase anywhere under $1k. Will it keep out kids and teenagers and your brother-in-law from the shallow end of the gene pool? Absolutely! I can easily fit an AR-15 with a 30 rd mag inserted. Definitely room for 5 rifles or shotguns. Digital lock works great and you can pick any combination from 3-8 digits. Save some $ on this Chinese safe so you can afford to buy another American firearm, you’ll have room to store it!
