Ordered this because the illustrations looked so unusual and fascinating, especially with the included mini-lamp.Arrives in a nice box and is carefully packaged, the whole thing feels to be of good quality.Definitely for older ages (depending on kid, maybe 12-14 up or for any adult) as there are a huge number of various parts and images which need to be carefully arranged.You'll also definitely need something like a scalpel and a cutting mat and good quality glue.That said, once everything is unpacked and separated, that is where the fun starts. Following the fairly good illustrated manual, you will slowly build up the house and the many various component parts, including the tiny books. The miniature accessories which come with the kit are truly fascinating.Note that the manufacturer uses laser cutting for the main wooden parts, so very precise feel to them.You could do the work over a few days or a few weekends - need to be careful not to rush - but at the end of it you'll have something which will always be a talking point, and definitely more interesting than Lego!Recommended.

This arrived so well packaged, with a very sturdy weight and I was so excited to make this and add it to our bookshelves.I got this for me and my husband to do on date night as something different and not too expensive.This would also make such a nice gift for book lovers as I know they'll love having this on their shelves.Make sure to read the instructions, as it could be tricky in parts.Quality was good and now I have to find space on our shelves.

This is a DIY book book kit with motion sensor light. Everything you need is included apart form glue and two AAA batteries.The best thing is that this contains no plastic pieces apart from stickers which is brilliant. It’s all wooden, card, wire or stickers.A full colour instruction book is included and being just pictures it’s fairly easy to follow.It’s book size and miniature pieces inside but none of them look tricky. I haven’t completed it yet as I’m still working on another one from before but so far it’s going well.It’s designed to sit in a book shelf amongst other books and then lights up as it detects someone gojng past.I would say this is aimed at older teenagers and adults due to the intricate nature of this kit.Overall a great kit and reasonably priced considering the amount of pieces and design that’s gone into this.
