It is perfect for opening packages. I have it close to my front door for ease of use. It is a decent size in the hand and also isn't a pain to hold even when using the scissor function. Worth every penny

A great idea but !

Good sharp blade, cuts nicely. Best suited for cutting thin cardboard as it struggled with some thick boxes. Great for opening parcels

I like the concept, design, and general form factor. However, the execution is lacking; it consists of two sheet metal blades with opposing chisel-ground edges that, while "sharp", struggled to even cut the cardboard Amazon envelope they were sold in. When cutting thicker material, the blades will deflect and try to twist the material parallel, reducing its cutting ability, and try to retract the scissors back into the handle. This product is a bad box cutter and a bad pair of scissors. I don't think this is inherent to the design, but due to the poor execution. The body appears to be injection moulded ABS, and the blades are punched sheet metal. These are some of the cheapest methods for manufacturing this product. Absolutely not worth the £14 it is being sold for, buy a cheap pair of "electrician's scissors/shears" and a box cutter. I purchased two pairs, one pair for myself and one for a colleague. I am disappointed.

Started using this for day to day package and box cutting and worked well and was enjoyable to use. Then, after a couple days the scissor function would stick and not reopen after pressing down and the mechanism was not working correctly. Would not buy again.

Therefore, please bypass the previous (ignorantly) posted review about these pocket folding shears not being heavy duty - they were NOT meant to be “heavy duty”, and there are NO claims of “heavy duty” capabilities anywhere within the product description. This pocket-sized, folding shears work exactly as intended throughout the realm of crafting, journaling, and various stationery-related activities. It is compact, operable with one had for quick deployment or speedy storage. The unit fits in your pocket, has an integrated loop that is convenient for mounting onto a keychain, lanyard, or maybe a soft material tether. The housing isn’t comprised of any kind of expensive, dense plastic material, but it is sturdy nonetheless. The blades are lubricated for long-term use with a very sharp, spring-loaded blade, and the stationary blade is sharp enough to cut through packing tape on packages, and soft enough to not cut you should it be accidentally be left partially deployed. Overall, an excellent quality compact scissor that is ideal for every stationery nerd! If you love to journal that involves any crafting with paper or fabric, do any kind of gift-wrapping, or have any hobbies associated with heavy stationery products, and enjoy cool gadgets, this an excellent product. Buy it now - look at the cool color options!

I love it but honestly if it was a metal body with a belt hook and the cutter setting came out a bit longer I'd pay 100$.
