Easy to assemble and expands closet space.
This shelf can be used to expand the storage space in a garage or closet. Especially good for small apartments. While it is easy to assemble the instructions are not very good. It comes with two brackets to anchor the shelf to a wall. This will require drilling two holes per bracket into sheetrock (easy to do). You will need some plastic anchors and screws as they are not provided. The shelves are strong and assembly takes only 15 to 20 minutes. There are four square blocks which can be placed between the shelf pillars and the wall near the anchors (no instructions). I only used two and they keep the shelf from moving in the brackets. Overall, it is well made.

GRACIOUS LIVING SHELVING
This shelving is very easy to assemble and unlike some plastic shelving, hold the weight they are advertised to. I purchased a fairly small fridge and to get it up to a height that was easy to use, I bought this shelving for that and to store a lot of other things as well. These shelves were a good choice!

Great customer service.
My shelves arrived damaged, probably not due to packaging because the damages were on the inside/underside of shelves, but when I contacted the seller, they were VERY prompt in responding and sending replacements. I’ve never had such quick service from an Amazon seller before. Why the 4 star rating? I was hoping for some sturdier shelving to go with ones that I’ve had for a few years now. These are just the right size, but a bit more flimsy. I’ll put my heavier stuff on my old shelves and on the bottoms of these shelves. Also, when you use shelves like this for storage, they tend to collect spiders. These have what I’m supposing are drainage areas under the shelves, but I see them as spider havens. They would be very difficult to clean out, so I’m definitely not using these in the garage where spiders are most prevalent. In searching for shelves though, I’m noticing that most have similar features, so these are as good as any.

Just what I wanted
Perfect fit and more sturdy than expected. But as sturdy as I hoped it would be. Holds all of my file boxes and important papers as well as the small totes. All of those important things you need to grab in an emergency. Just like I needed it to do and it gives everything ventilation. Live in a damp area and that's important around here. Not planning on using the top shelf for anything heavy so it's not necessary to connect it to the wall and it has the clips to do that if you want.

Arrived Damaged AND Defective
This is a plastic shelf unit. It arrived bare, with two wraps of shrink wrap around it, not in a box or anything protective. The shrink wrap didn't even cover the entire unit, just enough to hold the shelves together for shipping. I ordered two units. Both units arrived with one shelf broken. One was broken at the corners and the other had part of the structure of the shelf broken midway. In addition, the castings of the plastic shelves have excess material that I guess is left over from the casting process. The material blocks the holes where the uprights are supposed to slide in. The broken corners are possibly shipping damage but the other two issues could only be manufacturing/quality control defects. When we discovered the damage, we found out that we had to ship this back at our own expense. A lesson learned about Amazon Marketplace.
