The Rebel: The twisty crime thriller that will have you gripped

I normally read Martina cole etc so this is why I selected this novel as it mentioned gangland etcThe felt familiar to me, no idea why, when it's release date states 2018. Any how, plenty of characters where you get enough description about them,but not an overload, however, they lack depth, personality and there wasn't one I liked or disliked a lot and it also lacked emotion to me. The story line is good, some parts were stretched and there is no way someone with those types of skills would so easily make the mistakes they did and also fall for someone, this part ruined it for me. I think the reason it lacked a lot for me is because it flips between each character and their view points, so it may have given you that little bit of feel for the character but lack the pow of a gangland novel which normally has twists, turns, lovable characters etcFor me the ending had more action, drama etc than the novel, but again lacked that connection etc.I did enjoy the story line, but maybe it's because I read other types in this genre that I expected that.Worth a read.

This book has a very addictive story the charactors really make the story come to life,i was so into this book from the first page.The story is such a change from the usual gangster ones in that this one is from the police's stand point as they are the ones in the firing line.Excellent and well worth 5*

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and had problems putting it down each night. Yes, OTT but that is what I wanted- not having to think too much ahead myself. I did work out the cop mole.I have ordered another book that this author has written so many more enjoyable reads in bed at night.

What a brilliant book, Jamie Raven has done it again, a gripping story that keeps you engrossed at every page turn, the metropolitan Police don’t know how to catch the sniper legally, it takes underhanded questioning by Laura Jefferson to bring an end to the crimes, a real cat & mouse story, you won’t be disappointed

Oh wow loved this book!! Crime, corrupt police officers, revenge & then throw in an assassin from Mexico & you have a book that won't let you sleep until the end ...... One you won't see coming!!

I have been after a different type of book for a while. Well I really enjoyed this. A bit different from the normal gang land type of book. Great storyline. Thoroughly recommended. Don't hesitate in buying this book. You won't be disappointed.

A good read...lots of twist and turns..the only thing I didn't enjoy so much was the descriptive writing...I found it was to much...but that's just my opinion...overall a good read.

My husband and I have really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The story is original and enthralling and it is interpreted very well by the reader
