This Japa mala features 108 prayer beads sitting back to back plus an additional larger Guru bead to mark the end of a 108 rounds of chanting. The mala is meticulously created by highly skilled artisans in India using real gemstones together with strong thread. The beads have a well-rounded spherical shape and are polished to a smooth finish to bring out the true beauty of the stones. The ends are tied together with a beautiful colour coordinated tassel. Beads sitting back to back (i.e. without knots) give the mala a typical necklace like appearance while still being suitable as a mala.
