I would just like to say I bought this coat for walking my dog in the miserable UK weather.This coat does not disappoint.Overall once I found the size that fits the robe is great, nice and warm and really good at keeping you dry when the rain is coming at you from all directions. After a couple hours in heavy rain I expect a small amount of water bleeding through from by the zips. I was surprised to find out that I was completely dry.The only thing that is annoying the warm fluffy material comes right to the edge of the waterproof material, this means that in the rain the fluff may get a little wet around the edges.This dryrobe is well worth the price.

Bought as a birthday present for my partner who is into the whole wild swimming thing for a few years now, she was over the moon :) I also got her the official Dryrobe changing mat and compression bag. From experience the mat is not so important to have, but still sort of useful. The compression bag is a must have otherwise would be unwieldy to carry about and store.She's used it in the sea in Scotland during March and April - she has said it makes so much difference. Once she gets out of the water and puts this on she is warm. I think it gives her more confidence to just go out and swim more, no matter the weather - she knows she will be warm once she gets out the water.She is around average height for a lady, I got her the large size which is super big on her but still wearable and walkable. She can pull her arms in and get out of her wet swimsuit while wearing this. Very practical - no need to mess around hiding behind a towel etc you have a mobile changing room with you. Before she would go to beach or whatever and drive back home in wet swimsuit. Now she can get into dry underwear and clothes.Fair enough, it is rather expensive, but it is very well made and I think will last for many years. Apparently once waterproofing wears out you can spray with NikWax.It will really make the difference in your wild swimming experience. For me, I think if there are at least a couple more times that she will go for a dip each month then it's worth it.

I got a size medium having considered the size guide and their online tool. The intention was to have a general everyday fit not change however I could have gone for a small as I can still change in the medium. That said the extra room isn’t bad and I do like the oversize fit for winter coats. Really well made from what I can see so far and nice and warm. If you do want a tighter fitting coat it’s probably worth contacting DryRobe to discuss sizing to save sending back etc.Really happy with this purchase.

I bought this robe for walking the dog in the bad weather it is really warm and dry and keeps the bad weather out the sizes are very generous plenty of room to get changed in if you decided to use it for swimming I'm a3xl got the xl and I have more than enough room. comfortable to wear 😊

I am a lead coach for a surf lifesaving club down on the south coast. This product is fantastic and I can see why they are so popular with open water swimming. When you get out of cold water, your body temp continues to drop. This product drys you and gets you warm before the after shock takes a hold. The pockets are big and keep your hand warm if you are waiting around. The zips all have little toggles of them which makes life a bit easier when your hands are cold. They are pretty bulky so if you are not keen then I would suggest getting the compression bag too or you can sort of roll it into its hood and secure with a bungie. Still trying to work out a way of personalising mine as when you have a whole SLS club with them it might be tricky working out which one is yours. Not cheap by any means but I can see it being a long lasting essential bit of kit for me.

Update after 7 months (used about once a week): dropped one star. I still love the robe but the zip on this one has been getting stuck; I often need to step in and out of it as it won't unzip at the bottom easily. It is also very bulky and I have wondered if I would have been better witha smaller size. Good size for changing but not for wearing on to/from the swim and wearing in the post swim pub/cafe visit! Still love it and would have struggled swimming through the winter without it.Original review: I really love this robe and wish I had bought one sooner. The first just used a towel wrapped around me,then got a towelling changing robe which was incredibly helpful when changing to free up bith hands and change quicker and easier. Then, after trying one on from someone else,bought this one. It is really warm and great for changing under and wearing before and after a swim to stay warm. Much warmer than the thick/ski jacket coat I was wearing as my top layer before. It is very bulky so I need to wear it to the swim, instead of my coat, as otherwise it takes up most of my bag. I walk and get the bus to my most frequent swim spot at the moment. I previously used to cycle but think this would be tricky with the robe.When deciding on a warm changing robe I picked this one because it had long sleeves - which were very worth getting - was waterproof, had a hood, and had velcro sleeve cuffs. I am tallish and slim (size 10 and 5 foot 10) and found the Large a good size for me. Very bulky but a good amount of space to get changed in. I love the navy and grey colour. My only two niggles are the zip is sometimes quite fiddly to get started and I wish there was a chest height pocket inside to fit a hot water bottle. There are two inside pockets - one zipped waterproof, one not - but the second is in a bit of an odd place (too low down) personally.

Warm, very roomy (it's meant so that you can change inside it), keeps out the elements. And about as cool as enormous baggy black coat with a fleece lining can be.

Arrived defective - zipper did not work. Seller would not respond to message. Amazon offered a partial return - minus $40 ‘restocking’ fee. Will not purchase a replacement robe from this seller. Plus - why would a defective product be ‘restocked’. Hopefully a future purchaser will not receive this robe. Wonder if others have lost $40 due to this defective robe being sold multiple times.

it's very bulky and I didn't like how I looked in it so wound up returning it. Also didn't like the giant logo on the back and a logo on the front. On a positive note. It is well constructed and has a lot nice extra touches, which is why I gave it 4 stars

Was sceptical when this was purchased, but its been amazing.Have even used it on snowy day to keep warm.
