Very Versatile - so far used on vehicles, drywall & wallpaper
So far, we’ve used this polisher/buffer for waxing vehicles, sanding drywall, and wallpaper removal. It has performed as expected on all uses. It is advertised as being able to work for long periods without overheating – the longest straight run period we have used it was for 45 minutes and even though it was hot to touch, it never stopped working. The self locking switch is a great feature when operating it for long periods. We have used it on all speeds depending on what we’re using it for. We have used both the polishing pads and the sand paper. Ours arrived with everything shown in the advertised photos, including the replacement parts. It truly does offer a wide application as advertised.

A solid, old-school grinder/polisher
This is a solid, old-school grinder with a range of polishing accessories. The tool itself is beefy. It weighs around 6.5 pounds (2.86 kilos), with most of the weight at the end, in the gear set and motor. It's a brushed tool, but there's way more power than I've needed. A spare set of carbon brushes is included. (Start it up, and it has that familiar smell of older brushed tools, too). This tool also sticks to the tradition of including a parts diagram. Included are disc backers in both 6 and 7 inches. They don't have much flex at all, relying on 10mm of some sort of EVA foam to help smooth things out. The grinder uses a trigger with a lock - this works ok. The rotary knob to adjust speed is easy to reach, under the thumb. It can slow down to a lope, lower than's required for sanding/polishing, or ramp up to beyond my needs. I like that this kit includes a large D-handle, as this makes it easier to use for extended periods, and you can get over on top of the tool to apply pressure straight down. Plus, on other tools, it's simple to change a D-handle to get a better angle to fit the situation. Unfortunately, this handle doesn't seem to be made to fit this tool perfectly - there's an extra nub of nylon that's supposed to fit in a nonexistent notch. Also, the angles don't match up quite right. Between this mismatch and the old-fashioned hex bolts, the handle becomes awkward to change. This removes one of the best advantages to using a large tool like this. A simple handle is also included to use instead of the D-handle, but it can't be tightened down very well and there's no threaded hole on the tip of the tool. Nevertheless, it's possible to tighten down that D-handle and make it work. The included assortment of polishing pads are basic, but effective. I like that the kit includes 3 wool polishing pads - these are the type that have the string through them, so they can be kept tight. They have 10mm or so of loft, so some sort of backing sponge seems to work best.

Excellent Value; Great for Small Jobs Around the House and Such
I'd been considering and casually looking for some kind of buffer/polisher/cleaner power-tool for awhile to do odd jobs around our place. For example, we have a glass-top, large picnic table that gets covered in pollen and moss that needs more than a rag-rubbing by hand to thoroughly clean off. Cleaning out the underside of the riding lawn mower-tractor can also need some extra oomph. When this product arrived, I was pretty impressed. It is plainly not a "professional" tool that would be used at a job-site, but I did not expect it to be, especially given the cost. There is a wide assortment of different kinds of pads, and each kind is clearly labeled with regard to its intended use. I appreciated that. It would not have been fun to figure out through trial an error. The handle needs to be attached, and at first it did not seem to be a handle what was designed for the product. But it attached easily, and once in place made the tool easy to hold and use. The different speeds were notable different. And in operation it was not annoying loud or anything. All in all, my expectations were not just met but exceeded. The tool will come in handy and I'll likely use it a fair amount. Recommended.

Gets the job done at a great value because of all the included accessories.
This is a great value buffer polisher for all that is included with the kit. You get the 6 inch disc that the 10 sheets of fine sandpaper attach to. Then you have the 7 inch disk that the foam and wool pads attach to. Included are 2 coarse, 2 medium and 2 fine foam pads. You also receive 3 wool pads. You can fit the side handle or the top handle depending on what angle you are using the machine. We only used the top handle. It is a powerful machine and has many adjustable speeds for each project. The only slightly negative thing is it is a bit heavy. When buffing you need to keep the machine level and this requires some effort so Hubby was in charge of that bit. We used it to re-polish a dining room table with wood wax. It was all a horizontal surface so it was easy to get a nice finish. It might be harder to hold the heavy machine over vertical and complex surfaces. With 1800 watt of power the sanding was quick and easy and the machine never once lacked power. It even comes with a nice carry bag to store everything away when you have finished your polishing. If you have a big project and a tight budget this is the machine for you.

DO NOT BUY - CHINESE QUALITY
Total Chinese Junk - Returned. Foam pads disintegrated within seconds of use; velcro on backing disc separated when changing off the damaged pads. Dropped it and handle snapped off, as well as backing disc cracking in half. All this within a half hour of first use. This tool is a joke which cannot perform. Again - DO NOT BUY
