Amazing!
Bought this to grind up dry dog food for my senior dog who is having trouble eating dry food since we aren't finding anything great for her diet otherwise. It works perfectly! It's easy to set up and get working on my KitchenAid. It's also easy to get how fine you are hoping to grind it. I can grind enough food to fill up an easy pour container that can hold an entire box of cereal in about 10 minutes. It grinds perfectly on about the medium level. Instead of having to wait a couple hours, I can prep my dog's breakfast and dinner in just a couple of minutes. It's not overly noisy either, but then I'd be surprised if it was quiet since it's grinding. Note: It does come with instructions that are easy to follow and lets you know not to grind for too long (I think 45 minutes) before letting it cool down. That's for flour though, but I would think it goes for anything you're grinding, but I only grind it for about 10 - 15 minutes a week to fill up the container I use.

The build quality feels solid and durable
This Mavouse All Metal Grain Mill Attachment is a fantastic addition to my KitchenAid! The build quality feels solid and durable, and I love that it has 12 levels so I can choose exactly how fine or coarse I want my flour. I’ve tried wheat, oats, and corn so far, and it grinds everything beautifully and consistently. Freshly ground flour makes such a difference in taste and texture for baking. It’s easy to attach, simple to clean, and makes me feel like a pro in the kitchen. Highly recommend for anyone who loves fresh, homemade goodness!

As advertised
The only thing I would like better is if it ground my wheat a little finer. But works pretty good

Perfect for personal use of a weekend baker
Like so many of us, I went down the sourdough rabbit hole and then found myself down another in need of freshly milled flour. Enter the grain mill attachment-I already had the KitchenAid stand mixer, so it made sense. I love the fact that it’s all metal, so very sturdy. It comes with a cleaning brush and assembly tool, which is great. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand, as well as thorough. I don’t need to grind more than 4 cups of flour at a time, so the 45 minute cool down period after 10 cups isn’t a problem for me. By following the directions and grinding on coarse, then medium, then fine, I’m able to get the consistency I need for artisan bread. All in all, I’m happy with it.

Stopped working during first use and also damaged my stand mixer!
My new grain mill stopped working the very first time I used it. The gear stopped rotating and grain mill stopped working completely. Now my stand miixer makes weird sounds while kneading the dough as well. There is a constant sound of the loose gear sliipping while operating the stand miixer. I think I may have damaged the stand miixer for good, by using this grain attachment!

Exceptional grain mill attachment!
This grain mill attachment is a power house and the quality is outstanding. It’s made of durable, heavy duty metal and it has a nice sleek design. It comes with a users manual that is easy to understand. The attachment connects perfectly on to my Kitchen Aid mixer, and the setup process is so simple - attach it to your mixer, adjust the dial to your desired coarseness, add your grain to the hopper, and turn on your mixer. Although the hopper is fairly good sized, they recomend not to overload it. The dial has 12 settings for coarseness, from a coarse crack to a fine powder. I ran it through a second time for an even finer grind. It’s easy to clean afterwards with the brush that is included (Note: it’s not recomended to be washed in the dishwasher). So far, I have ground corn and oats, but this would be perfect for also grinding wheat, rice, buckwheat, millet, barley, and other grains just as easily. I love how this attachment gives me the satisfaction of creating my own flour from scratch. I especially appeciate that it allows me to control and know exactly what is going into my food while retaining all of the nutrients and without all the extra additives, preservatives, or fillers. Just pure, freshly ground grains. Store bought flours just don’t compare to the superior taste and quality of freshly milled grains. So much more flavorful. This grain mill attachment would be an excellent gift or addition to anyone’s kitchen, especially for someone who values wholesome, fresh ingredients.

Great for grinding your own flour!
We purchased this grain attachment for our kitchenaid stand mixer as we have come to recently find out that I can no longer have regular flour due to being cellac. First thing is, this attachment is all metal.Unlike some other attachments that have plastic pieces that can break easily. It's easy, you just attach it to your kitchenaid mixer like you would any other attachment and you're ready to go. Just add your flour or berries or oats and you're grinding. There are 12 grinding settings to get the grind you want or need from coarse to fine. For a finer grind you'll need to run through a couple times. So far everything has come out great! For cleaning, it comes with a brush to clean it and it wipes down easily. A standalone grain mill is very expensive, so this is a great cost effective alternative if you're looking for one!

It functions as described
I am really trying to like this item since I made a large wheat berry purchase. Pros: connects to kitchen aid and grinds the wheat, all metal parts, seems durable, good price compared to kitchen aid model Cons: too close to kitchen aid, small hopper, would be great if the drop was longer or something could be easily attached to dispense to reduce dust spread I have been grinding batches of 10cups for 3 loads of bread recipe. It takes about 10 minutes on low to grind the 10 cups (1200 grams) of wheat. And per user manual should grind 3 to 4 times to get a good consistency. Which means to grind flour for 1 recipe it takes 30 to 40 minutes plus cool down time on the mixer. As my kitchen aid is hot after the 10 minutes of grinding. I am on the fence about returning it and buying a standalone grinder.

El producto no funcionó bien. Casi sobrecalentó mi KitchenAid. En 10 minutos preparé media taza. Mal diseño.

Awesome product works great with our kitchen aid mixer. Make sure to use the cleaning tools every so often so it stays clean and does not cross contaminate the different types of flour.

I've only used it once, but was very happy with the results. I used it to grind rice into fine flour, and salt (which I buy in large crystals, and it needs to be ground down). Both worked very well. You need to use multiple passes for larger items such as rice, gradually reducing the fineness setting, but if you do this it works fairly quickly. I'm really happy with it.

Works perfect on my KitchenAid mixer. It grinds the wheat berries very fine so making bread or baked goods is perfect. Highly recommend it.
