Wolf-Garten ZM170 170 cm Multi-Change Wooden Handle FSC Certified

I much prefer the look and feel of decent wooden tools, so opted for this handle in favour of the metal alternatives. It's an attractive piece of ash, nicely finished, but not completely smooth, so it offers an ideal amount of grip. The weight feels substantial but not overly heavy. I'm 6' tall, and the 170cm length seems just right for use with scarifiers, hoes, takes and so on, without needing to bend down and strain my back. The multi-change system has a positive action, so tools click nicely into place, and feel secure in use. When it's time to swap tools, they disengage just as easily. I'm new to Wolf Garten, but so far it seems like these tools will live up to the hype, and I look forward to expanding my collection bit by bit.

The length of the item is perfect, offering an ideal fit for my needs. However, it does exhibit a slight flexibility, which raises concerns about its long-term durability. I'm uncertain whether this flexibility might lead to potential breakage over time, especially with regular use or under stress. It would be helpful to know more about the material's resilience to determine if it can withstand prolonged wear and tear.

Nice bit of kit, well made. Ideal for getting In close to access the difficult tree branches. Because the handle is good wood, it just right.

I ordered this ready for the spring and received an apologetic email saying was out of stock and would I like money back or wait. I was in no hurry so I said I’ll wait. Two days later stock arrived and received item the next day. Very good communication on sellers part and for this level of customer care I would definitely buy from them again. The handle is top class too and 20cms longer than standard as I’m 6ft 4 and others stating the longer shaft means you don’t have to bend as much when taller. This makes sense, I just hope it’s easier than using an ordinary rake to scarify as is damn hard work.
